My favourite game. I miss my childhood day when I used to play with my dad and with my school friends. Now playing on mobile. Oh god wish I could get those days back.
When I was a kid may be 6 or 7 I put up a demand for a carom board My dad delayed giving me me the same for a few weeks I was very persistent but he went on avoiding getting ne the desired game board . Then one day suddenly he took me to the game store and got me the model I wanted . Apparently I was sleep talking and desperately crying out for a carrom board the previous night!
Excellent game Pierre! Congratulations! The standard of European Carrom is very high now. I think you all may want to consider playing Best of 3 (or Best of 2 to save time) games in important matches such as Finals in order to get a fair chance for both players. Carlito got really good breaks in the game. This game could have gone the other way too. You played very well to keep the game in your favor! Congratulations again!
Thanks a lot Sam. Only the final of Eurocup we are able to play in best of 3 games. Other tournaments specially in France; we already play 7 rounds in the day; plus final; would be a bit long for a best of 3 option unfortunately...

It's not easy to answer because I feel i prefer the control with the grip with boric powder, but that powder seems harmful to the health, compared to potatoe that is edible and not really risky.. It would be interesting to know what world champions prefer !!
@@seyeah1I in my house use boric acid powder for 2 purpose. 1)for carrom 2)to kill cockroaches 😂 But yes boric gives a nice grip and potato powder is too smooth to play and very hard for gripping

Am curious why the board's cannot be innovated to have a glass surface ? There are various types of glasses, all glasses are not the same and I am certain you could get a cleaner skid without the powder. Why can't you have a larger board. I know the rules say it has to be a certain size but wont a larger board be more challenging?

I always wondered why they continued playing when one competitor had way more points than the opponent. Is it just a gentleman's game then? To see how many points you can total up at the end of the game even if you lose? EDIT: Or is it that, in order to gain the points for yourself, you have to end the round? Which gives the opponent a chance to earn more points? It seems a tad complicated.
Hi, in rounds you are right, it's important for the net score in the ranking, and in final, sometimes it's in 8 boards, sometimes no board limit so even after 0-24 it is still possible to come back and win. In any game or sport you should give up till the very end
And BTW we used to call the powder used in this game as disco powder LOL... it used to be very challenging to control our shots when using this powder rather than boric acid powder.

Thank you Sir. You're right that the control of the game in Europe is quite different than in Asia. Potatoe is faster; but i feel it is less permissive when you hit just little side from the hole compared to boric acid. I still don't know which powder is best; but i feel that the control is better for the grip on boaric powder.
