I remember watching this and Casa Bonita back to back (Casa Bonita first). It was so satisfying to see the switch form Cartman putting Butters through so much crap, to Butters putting Cartman through so much crap

There's one major flaw in Butters' plan to blackmail Cartman. Butters said it himself: "What Cartman doesn't know is that I know one of his secrets." Blackmail doesn't work if the victim doesn't know he's being blackmailed. Obviously Cartman knows now, because he was listening as AWESOM-O, but Butters doesn't know that, and frankly, that development alone accidentally made Butters' plan ironically more likely to succeed than if Butters had followed it to the letter, thinking that he could deter Cartman's bullying by using blackmail that Cartman didn't know about.

This, and nearly the whole of season 24, are the only things in South Park (to date) that make you feel at least slightly bad for Cartman
