This story was based on a single mom named Susan Smith, and it happened in 1994.. She had 2 kids, and she was messing around with a co-worker who was married. The co-worker said he no longer wanted to be with her because he was married, n because she had kids. Because of this, she drowned her 2 sons in a car just like in this episode, and then told the cops that her car was hijacked by a black man..
That's the official story but there is a lot of evidence of her innocence and that her confession was coerced.

That creepy restaurant scene with that weird initiation song and Butter's parents being invited into the 'club' was paying homage to an early 1930's movie called 'Freaks', which showcased a cast of real life physically deformed people in a travelling circus.
I’ve seen that movie before freaks is an interesting film it’s good to know someone else have seen it .

This was the first episode after Kenny got "killed off permanently"; hence why they took a few episodes to get back to the regular intro theme. This was also Trey and Matt's episode to introduce Butters as the kenny replacement (at the time at least)
3 dots was a reference to 1987 Predator movie with Arnie, same with the thermal vision flash, that showed Butters in the forest.
People always forget about Gary Condit. He was a State Senator whose intern mysteriously disappeared after he admitted to his wife that he was having an affair with her. Fun fact: his wife took him back after Chandra Levy's name stopped making headlines. Personally, I think his wife had something to do with it, more than he did. The three dots was a reference to the Predator films. The one guy who you may be thinking about who murdered his wife and daughter(s) is likely, Chris Watts. Oddly enough also from Colorado. If interested, one of my fave bands SKYND did a song about that case. They do true-crime-based industrial metal and the music video is very emotional.
Those 3 dots you saw on butters is a reference to a movie called "predator" stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. im sure you heard of the movie. Its pretty awesome you should check it out!

As someone who was a bit like butters growing up I’m happy that people have sympathy for him
I think it's fair to note - later, after this episode aired:
Ramseys were both ruled out as suspects in their daughter's death. They are officially exonerated, but there are still some questions if a DNA test really did prove their innocence.
Gary Condit was not officially a suspect in murder of Chandra Levy. Later a portorican man was convicted thanks to an informant in jail, who was however found lying. New trial was set, but prosecution in the end dropped all charges. The prosecution based their case on lies and circumstantial evidence. Murder of Chandra Levy is still unsolved.
Creators of South Park later apologized.
C’mon bro the Ramseys definitely knew more than they let on. Patsy Ramsey definitely wrote that fake ass ransom letter she claimed to have found in the kitchen!
And OJ Simpson was found not guilty by a jury of his peers.

they might not have killed jonbenét but i definitely believe they knew more than they said. i just can't see an intruder deciding to write a long ass ransom note _inside_ the house. but for now the case remains... _unsolved_
@@odetoclear Agreed. They may not have done it themselves but I think they have an idea as to who did and why they would. I also think they tampered with the crime scene to make it more convincing than it was. Also Gary Condit ain't as innocent as he appears. Again, i don't think he did it but I think he knows who did (probably his wife who he confessed he was having an affair to) and he helped cover it up. It makes no sense that afterwards his wife took him back.

Butters is my all time favorite character. He reminds me so much of myself when I was little.
You were probably a little goodie good who reminded the teacher to assign homework. There was this little snot named Joey in my 5 th grade class and he had a permanent smile and a very punchable face and he would always remind the teacher to assign homework if she forgot. He was the kind of kid who you wanted take your foot and stomp his head in the the dirt.

This episode came out in 2001.
In 1999 (when I was 11) Marilyn Lemak killed her three children, ages 7, 6, and 3 before attempting (and failing) to take her own life.. Just three streets away from where I lived at the time, two streets over from where I went to school at Ellsworth..
When this episode came out, I had forgotten the name (I'm bad with names) but thought at least one of them was referencing that event lol

That one character is based of the character from pet cemetery played by the guy, who played Herman Munster in the Munster’s, also the judge in My Cousin Vinnie.

Whippy's character Dundee is a great example of shit hitting the fan just to push a story forward. if you want to play a cop character id also suggest checking out Roxmiral. or if you just want to have quick one and done characters, the streamer Burn, is great at making characters, that are supposed to die. and of couse i cannot forget Koil, he's the primary admin/owner of no pixel's server, and of the modded gta world for Roleplaying character.
