  • This dog surprised everyone by preventing people from taking his owner off of life support. The reason why will make you cry. They say that dogs are man’s best friends, and this story proves just how true that is. Michael had worked as a police officer in the K-9 unit all of his life and he was responsible for the training and handling of one of the police dogs in the force. He had had quite a few partners in his career of policing, but a German Shepherd called Zeus was one with whom he had formed a remarkable bond. Also pay attention to them acting out when the weather will suddenly become unpredictable. Especially they're sensitive to earthquakes, tornadoes, mudslides, heavy storms or lightening.

I was hiking trails with my 2 labs and got turned around because the trail markers were so weathered it was hard to read them, and some were just unreadable. I was beginning to panic because I got turned around. I didn't know if I was headed out, or was headed further into the woods.
I finally told my dogs "Let's go home", hoping that they could find our way out. They immediately took trail after trail, both turning and headed in the same direction, never hesitating. I totally let them decide the turns & direction we went. They led me out. I assume they used their sense of smell.
Another time, we were out walking in a city park. As we got back to the parking lot to leave, I looked for my car and headed toward it. Then I hesitated upon seeing that there were 2 cars exactly alike parked side by side. Both cars were the same make, model and color of my car. Without seeing the tag, I didn't know which one was my car. However, my dogs never hesitated and walked directly to my car. I assume they knew by smell which was my car; maybe they could still smell our scents around my car.
I was very bonded to these dogs, especially the male who was very protective of me. I had no doubt that if I were in danger, they would never abandon me. I believe my boy would have given his life to protect me. Both were strays I took in. I have no doubt that dogs know and understand that you have rescued them. I believe that being rescued makes the bond and trust even stronger.

    • @geniehinseth512
      @geniehinseth512 ปีที่แล้ว

I don't think their instincts are remotely similar to humans instincts. I think God made dogs uniquely gifted with instincts of their own that are way better than humans. And I agree that dogs have souls. They're too wonderful to not get into Heaven!!! Especially my rescued baby Tikvah (toy poodle mix). Tikvah means Hope. She came from a hoarder with several hundreds she had most likely stolen from people's yards. They were kept imprisoned in a barn & never fed or cared for. They ate each other to survive - COVERED with fleas & poo & matted. She had been convicted in ID so she moved to OR to do it again. She should've been given the death penalty for the OR offense. An ID woman & her associates rescued the dogs from the OR barn. Several groomers volunteered to go out there to Fruitland to clean them up. They ran out of warm water long before they were finished. 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞

I walked into my friends house the little dog looked at me ran to her bowl got one of her doggie treats jumped in my lap stood up with her treat in her mouth she tried to put her doggie treat in my mouth. My son (7-8y.o. at the time) had gotten lost in the woods behind r house on his way home from the creek (his creek was within yelling distance from r kitchen window so it wasn't very far,but not with in eye shot). We had the cops come search for em, they had the helicopter w inferred vision and shut down the surrounding roads. This was one of the scariest times in all my childrearing. I believed my son was missing. Cops just completely littered our property and neighborhood. serious scary situation. I assumed my dogs could feel my emotion and were reacting. His dog tho-- an old man dog, was FUH REAKING OUT!!! I MEAN...FREAKING T.F. OUT LIKE ID NEVER SEEN BEFORE!! His dog was borderline nervous breakdown but dog version. In all the time I'd had this dog...not bfor nor since- Thor just was WAY off. Again, I assumed they were responding to the stress felt in the atmosphere. He couldn't get it together. I ended up yelling at em and trying to make em go lay down. Wasn't happening tho! Finally I snapped!!😳 and SCREAMED at this damn goofball dog- GO GET EM!
N he scurried away luckily!. I'm consoling my daughter who's freaking and crying for her big brother, the husband's startn to fall apart and the cops too...they're tryn to find my son, so they're stressing too. It was smh just nothing I'd ever wanna experience again. It's dark...no sign whatsoever of my son n smh it starts wearing me down. It's been about 2 yrs I think. Helicopter flying overhead...it was so loud I couldn't even hear myself think. I'm crying and coming to the realization that.........
THOR FOUND THE BABY BOY!!! HIS DOG SMELLED HIM AND BROUGHT HIM HOME!!!! He could either sense that my son was scared and lost?? Or that everybody was freaking??? Idk what to say other than...HIS DOG RESCUED HIM FROM BEING LOST IN THE WOODS!! The dog was just about the size of my son so he pushed him by his nose...nudging him the whole way home he said lol
The boy must've been mandated by his dog to sleep in his reclining chair with him for the next 2or3 days lmao that dog wouldn't let my boy out of his sight for quite some time after all this lol but...that was fine by me!! I couldn't believe what he'd done for all of us- we fed em steak after that lmao

Yes this is very true. There are times when my own dog would behave in some strange manner, and in unexpected times where I would not want to be disturbed. I would look into her eyes and they look as if pleading and trying to communicate something. Looking at her eyes, we exchange telepathic messages and I then would understand and respond to her accordingly. Our meeting came about also in a strange manner. She was a puppy that no one seemed to own. As I was waiting for a ride at the roadside, I saw this puppy, emaciated, full of itch and smelling, limping her way towards me and suddenly collapsed just infront of me. She looked up at me with pleading eyes and crying. She was a pitiful sight. I understood she has chosen me to help her. I picked her up and I brought her home and took care of her. And now, she looks at me as her only family. We have become inseparable from then on. I thank God for the gift of Nona, my angel.

So sorry for your loss. I've rescued many dogs and have 2 with me now. I"d do anything for them because I know they love me more than anything. I know everyone is different, but the longest I 've been able to go without a dog was 3 mos after my last one died in 2013.
There was an adoption van and I had no idea when I walked out of the store on that day it would be there.
I couldn't leave without adopting my baby from his crate. He was rescued from a kill shelter in LA by Cesar Milan. He's still with me today.
He became diabetic last June and he gets
insulin injections 2x a day and he wears a Libra....like people do so I can always check his glucose. Every month I need to buy 2 which costs me $75.00 for each one. Then there's the insulin, about $90.00 a month plus the insulin syringes,, about $45.00 a
month....and he gets people quality food and vitamins. My dogs eat better than me. I love them more than anything. I know alot of people can't go out and get another dog or cat for a long time. sometimes ever.....but I was miserable without my last dog and I feel that if we are both on this planet at the same time, why should I be lonely when there is another dog in a shelter being lonely and maybe facing euthanasia when I can save him??

I have had 6 GSD, all from German lines with the kind of training this dog had. Every one of those dogs have saved me from a bad situation. Mostly potential robbers. This has been for 20 years. My latest, Charlie, is 2 years old so he won’t be fully filled out for another year . I have trained him to be friendly to all who come to my door, providing I signal him the person is welcome. As I did all the training, he follows me everywhere. Charlie is my Velcro dog. What has been a surprise to me all these years is their total devotion, but also how they know if a person is really right. They seem to have a skill of judging people better than humans. I adore my Charlie.

We were all outside one day and my dad said "I think I'm going to go and burn that brush pile we piled up a few months ago." We had a border collie that immediately took off and ran to the brush pile and returned with a tiny kitten. The mother cat had her babies in the brush pile and the dog was letting us know about the kittens in there. How did the dog understand what my dad said? They have senses that far surpass our own.

James, researchers say dogs "see images rather than hearing words." They claim that when we talk, our minds create the images and our dogs can "see" or understand that.
I don't know if that's true or not, but I have been amazed at what my different dogs have seemed to understand.
I know they come to understand words we use - even when we aren't trying to teach them. I had a dog that understood the word "go", which isn't that unusual. He loved to go places with me rather than being left at home. That's not unusual, either. But what was unusual about that particular dog is that he understood "go" meant to leave the house, and go ________ (somewhere).
If I said "Let's go" he would get excited, but his gaze never left my face until I told him where we were going. ("Let's go to PetsMart"). Then he'd explode into action, rushing to the car. If I said, " Let's go walk", he raced to the peg that held his halter & leash. Once they were on, he ran to the door. If I said "Let's go get Pepper (his favorite doggie friend who used to come & play with him), he started whimpering and his whole body wagged.
I was firmly convinced after years of living with this dog, that he not only understood the action of going somewhere, but that it meant a lot to him to know where we were going, and who we would see.
I was even more convinced that he actually understood where we were going, because one day I made a turn that was taking us in a different direction than where we were supposed to go. He knew it and started whimpering & looking in the opposite direction as if he wanted to say "Mom you're going the wrong way!" He was correct. But he didn't understand that due to an accident ahead, I had to go around the block and approach from a different direction- a route we never had taken to get to PetsMart before. I have always talked to my dogs, and I know they understand a lot more than we give them credit for.
When I was growing up, we had a sweet Cocker Spaniel. He loved being outside in the yard. But when my dad cut the grass with his riding mower, he decided it would be safer for the dog to stay inside because he would get close to the mower & follow my dad. Dad was afraid he might accidentally hit our dog when he mowed. The dog knew he had to stay inside when Dad mowed. But one day, he was frantic scratching at the door & barking. We just thought he wanted outside with Dad, but noted he was particularly insistent that day.
My dad came back in the house about 15 minutes later and said "Guess what I found? I almost ran over a nest of baby rabbits!" He did not see them before he mowed over the spot, but his mower blade was placed on the high setting and it missed the baby rabbits. We all were convinced my dog knew they were there and wanted to protect them!
I've had dogs all my life, and I have learned to pay attention when they act differently, or out of their ordinary routines. It usually means they think something is not right!

SIMPLE your dad had an image of the brush pile and burning it in his mind as he told you his plans and the dog saw that image in his mind. From what I have experenced, dogs especally, think in pictures and if you are lucky enough to be able to pick up on their thoughts you find pictures are the easiest form of communication for animals.

Dogs are amazing. My grandmother had a miniature schnauzer. And she stuck by my grandmothers side always. She would always wine and scratch at my grandmother's stomach. She ended up going hysterical on my grandmother's stomach. Scratching and really crying. Like she was getting beat. My grandmother had a doctor's appointment. And while explaining all the scratches to her doctor. He told her schnauzers have really good noses for cancer. So he did xrays and found a 14lb tumor in her stomach. After removing the tumor, the dog left her alone.

This policeman life meant more to the German Shepherds own life. Dogs have a soul contrary what anybody says or thinks their soul is much more deeper than any human, German Shepherd specifically. German shepherds have senses that will defy any logic or science. They're hearing and their smell is 10,000 times more than any human that is a fact. They're loyalty can never be matched by any other animal. I have a German Shepherd she's 10 her twin sister died 2 years ago Gypsy saved my life more times I can count. One day I was laying in bed sick didn't know what was wrong too tired and sick get up and she came to my bed nudging me I got the strength to get up and took my blood pressure and sky high 200 over 180 I immediately took some blood pressure medication gradually brought it down. she's knew my blood pressure was high. Her and her sister Bella, Lord rest her soul stirred me away from danger many times.

I have had 2 German shepherd's myself. They protected my kids when they was growing up. Great loyal dogs. I don't believe some of this video though. It's a bit to far fetched for my liking. The dog run all the way to the hospital and found his owner and the doctor was just about to inject her husband before the dog knocked him down. Sounds like something out of a movie. Yes some of it could be true but people are so gullible when it comes to these kinds of stories.

My Uncle had a dog named Brutus when I was a kid of about 10.He could always sense when my Uncle was about to have a seizure.Sometimes more than 5 minutes before it would actually happen. He would start whimpering and wag his tail while jumping up and down. One day I took Brutus, also a German Shepherd, out for a walk.He was taking a much longer time to do his business and I noticed he kept looking back at the apt building where my Uncle lived. We must have been at least 3 blocks from the house when Brutus became very agitated and started pulling me back in the direction we came from.He was whimpering and jumped up and down when he knew my Uncle was coming home or about to have a seizure.I put 2 and 2 together and raced back to the house with Brutus.I remembered that my cousins and aunt were not home when I left the apt to walk Brutus. My Uncle was by himself. When Brutus and I got back there,a saw my Uncle on the floor shaking uncontrollably.I knew the routine by now and I rolled him on his side.I told him to not be afraid but I needed him to breathe slowly and see if he could help me so I could open his mouth to make sure he wouldn't swallow his tongue and choke. At the time we believed that sticking a spoon in his mouth would do the trick as well as turn him on his side first.I called 911 and then my grandmother to let her know what happened.I left a reluctant Brutus behind as I went with him in the ambulance to the hospital. He made a full recovery and they adjusted the medication for the seizures. So about a week later I asked him how long he was on the floor. He said as soon as he heard us come through the door and heard Brutus almost crying. And he could feel himself about to choke out and lose consciousness Even the doctor told him that a few minutes more he might have suffered permanent brain damage for lack of oxygen or worse, death.I told my Uncle it was Brutus who pulled me back to the house. That the dog didn't even do his business yet.We both laughed at that one.Brutus knew something was wrong. From 3 blocks away.Brutus saved your life.Brutus lived to the age of 16.And my uncle could see the poor dog was suffering and in pain. And decided for him to be euthanized.I was there with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins when they took him to the vet.As the handler took Brutus away, the dog slowly turned around to look at us.He knew what was about to happen so we went to him once more to hug him and caress him.And that was it.I get emotional to this day.
