Was going to ask the same thing, but also I'm not the one watching my entire world get destroyed. Can't blame these people for doing seemingly ridiculous things in the moment.
Another terrifying video amongst hundreds, maybe thousands of videos of that horrific day. I’ve seen so many of these videos, not out of morbid fascination, but because I’ve never seen natures fury captured on camera so devastatingly. Please Japan be ready for the next one, build your homes on the higher ground in port towns with deep bays. No one wants to see this happen again, although Japan is in such a precarious place on this earth. Thank you for another educational video, these are an education to me. And big love and respect to the people of Japan, you deal with such calamities with such beautiful dignity 👍👍😪😪🥇🇯🇵. From a Japan loving Londoner❤
The tsunami struck in an almost identical manner throughout the northern part of Iwate Prefecture (Taro, Tanohata, Noda, Kuji), where the seabed of the bays is much more shallow. The wave reach the critical point and breaks just before reaching the shore. In the deeper waters of the southern ports (Otsuchi, Kamaishi, Ofunato) one can only observe the rapid rise of the water level.
When you have enough warning to get to high ground, but then you have to witness your town and probably your home get ripped away in moments. I cant imagine how much this must hurt anyone's soul.
An unstable molten ball of rock we live on while hurtling through space following the sun thats getting whipped around a black hole. The dice are rolled constantly. All life that has evolved with us deserves a better deal. ✌️❤️🇳🇿
your singular job, when holding a video camera during something exceptional, such as this... and you are high above and out of obvious range and danger from the event, is the hold the goddamn camera still and pointed at the action. it's that simple. otherwise, why the hell are you bothering at all.
Are you dense?! It wasn’t supposed to be an “exciting” video for your entertainment. This video was documenting the sheer magnitude of those deadly and destructive waves. The tsunami killed almost 20,000 people and around 2,500 people are still missing to this day, and left a whole country deeply traumatized. You need to wrap your head around the fact that this was a tragedy of monumental proportions, it sure as hell wasn’t some Hollywood movie.
Was that guy hiding from the wave behind a bush?
That wasn't just any bush .
That is called wavus protectus , it has legendary tsunami protection qualities
Seemed to work!...
Well yeah but when he was back there I couldn't see the wave anymore which means the wave couldn't see him either right?

Every time i see a new one of these videos, it's like just as surprising as seeing the first.
The tsunami is huge here!

No
Extended ? A 1 minute 40 second clip !
I think the narrator at first is THE SAME as narrator on one piece
上から見てもこの高さの盛り上がり、、
もし海抜ゼロから見たらほんとデカい壁が迫って来るように見えるんだろうな。
He's too smart! Next time i meet a tsunami, im gonna hide in the bushes 1:21 and the tsunami will be like 1:27 where the fuck did he run away!
It’s as if the ocean turned into a giant 15 m deep river intent to go inland. Terrifying.
Wow
This is one of my favorite animes.
Follow what happened in next episode of dragonball z.
Run Forest, run.
nothing worse than a low quality "shaky" camera.. How hard is it to hold it still or in 1 spot for more than 3 seconds??? Giving us massive headaches
The tsunami not too huge here.
Did you and I watch the same video?
Quick! Get behind this shrub!

Video is not so exciting this time...
