SM64 is a great example of perfect game design. It let's the player do and play how he/she wants. Use your creativity to outsmart some elements or speedrun the game. Despite the glitch potential, it makes gaming so much more fun. This freedom is what is lacking in most of this gen games. Especially in the big western games.

This reminds me of an old series by vini64 called Super Mario's Pro Skater. It mostly involved using custom characters on the koopa shell in Bomb Omb Battlefield.

Can you also add score for combat related moves, and advanced combat tricks? Similar to devil may cry / bayonetta? Maybe add a system that diminishes the points you get for each move if you use them too much in a row, since this was in tony hawk's pro skater as well.
Some moves like that double walljump (after the flying part) and backwards air control don't have scores, which if you want to score cool looking moves kind of fits the bill.

Well I think adding a few more types of moves to the score list wouldn't be much more work. It's just more instances of already existing programming.
The diminishing points thing would fit this mod as well so it's killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
Perhaps if someone commissioned him to work on this hack for a few more hours, he could implement it.

The fastest way to get score points:
Go to wet dry world on max level. Not the max water tap, the max water level.
Do the grind into the pipe, and repeatedly dive to slow you down. This will give you the crazy grind.
Once you get in the pipe, ledge grab out. That is why you need to use max water level. Max water tap is not enough.
Each time this is done, you get 200 points. That's plus any amount of 10 depending if you got the crazy flight from the water.

Nice. I'd like you to add Backwards Ledge Grabbing and Karate Chopping (when you kill an enemy via Twirling) please.
I wish you wouldve made him permantly ride a shell or summon one with a button press. either way this is nice.
One question: why you didn't use AliasAnimator (program used to create models and cutscenes in n64 games) or something similar to create the cutscenes in Last Impact?
i have no idea, what that is or does, i had coded my own engine and it needed my own file format.
Kaze Emanuar Nintendo used this program to create models, and cutscenes in SM64, for example: when mario kills browser.
I'd love to run a TAS through this and see the result that comes out.
