I was 3 weeks stuck on the Master King Koco's Trial (I only play like 2 hours a day 'cause I work) I finished it tonight and I literally cried when I saw the "CLEARED" message. The dificulty is ridiculously insane here. But when you finally fight The End with those EPIC versions of I'm Here you know that the suffering was worth it. I love this game so much
Fr once you finally get to that final boss it feels like you truly went through so much to get here
@@Supercon613you get to the final boss and you’re greeted with jank, a poor camera and a random mechanic needed to beat the boss that isn’t even hinted at or explained. Just cause Sonics been bad for so long, it doesn’t mean we should hail Sega and Sonic Team when they finally manage to release an average/sub par game. (Especially when it took 3 updates to correct the final boss)
Frontiers is fun, but it’s a whole lot of jank and lack of polish. Especially from a franchise that’s older than the majority of its fan base.

@@teejaysounds420 "Correct the final boss" directly after you say that it sucks. The original one was legitimately not that bad, it was an engaging and well-designed difficultyspike with great narrative atmosphere. The part that needed tweaks the most was the first phase(Supreme), but that is ironically the one bit they didn't touch.
@@lpfan4491 cause the idea is great. I can see what they were going for.. But it’s an embarrassment to see the state of this big, climatic fight.. It’s so buggy and jank and there’s no excuse for it.. I’m sure the fans could’ve done a better job.. Shit they already have with Mania etc. This is a company that used to rival Nintendo.. Now they produce and releases games in worse states than most indie games… I’m sick of the “sega rushed sonic team” argument.. it’s like, AND?? Call Of Duty release year after year.. Yeah, their games are not exactly In high praise (mainly due to skill based matchmaking) but come on. They look, run and feel 10x better than any sonic game that’s came out in the last decade.. Time restraints ain’t the issue. Lack of skill and poor development choices are. This series has been going over 30 years. You’d think they’d learn what works and what doesn’t by now..

I was satisfied. I had finally completed sonic frontiers 100% a couple months ago. I got the very last memory token while playing I'm Here on the jukebox. I was ready and hyping for the new story. And then... it turns out to be one freaking mess to complete. I won't give up. but I will not forgive sega for this for atleast a while.
LOL the Lost World music during the Titan fights is hilarious.

With update 3 I didn't even have to go through all the steps to get spin dash it just gave it to me when it was time to play sonic in the update

When sonic frontiers released it felt like a good calm game...but things did feel like they were... missing....let me just say the dlc that was coming definitely built up hype for us! And then it was like chaos happy insane crazy fun chaos oh my the last dlc was something
16:51 I thought the same but as someone pointed out you parry a lot on those trails and since the last one and the final boss use perfect parry that might as well been the attention to learn how to time your parry
ill never forget update 3. i booked the day off work but in the uk it came out friday 1am instead of during the day so i had no sleep i sturggled got battered but it was all worth it. and i was lucky i had a stream chat tell me how to beat the end but going back and realising ur supossed to get battle guidance from the master king by just completeing as much of the island as u can which is why the game dont tell anyone. all in all update 3 had me smiling from start to end cuz of the challenge, the fun the replayablity and most of all the fact that it was a truly satisfying ending to an amazing game

I have a theory that all of the DLC was planned from the beginning, and sega just didn’t want to delay the game again. The spin dash/multiple playable characters seemed intentional to the game design.
Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case k owing Sega I hope that with the success of frontiers Sega will learn to let sonic team take as much time as possible
I already loved the game at launch, but the updates easily put it in my top 5 games of all time
the journey from the reveal to update 3 was a fun ride, it just feels like im watching someone making a career.
The fact that people really needed an actual strategy to beat trial two is crazy, get your muscle memory up and rush em like a chad, I'm not using that lame ass strat
Sonic frontiers is my favorite game, maybe surpassed by some other game but I consider it as a fan and also as a player at the height of, for example, tears of the kingdom (I know it sounds exaggerated but by god it is a literally fun game, the bad and mediocre parts that the game had were literally corrected like chaos island which became a very fun island because of the spindash and the momentum of the game by Update 2
From then on it seems almost perfect to me how it executes everything with each mechanic, from the jukebox, to a new final boss along with a lot of content to enjoy and although this comment sounds generic because the truth is that I don't know how to express how much I love to play this game
I calmly think that I have already played more than 800 hours of frontiers and I don't regret it, from the time it came out until now that it is "complete"
It fills me with satisfaction to see how it went from being a good sonic game to being a tremendous love letter to sonic himself and a literally promising future that will always make me want to play it, no matter if I do the story again, it doesn't matter if I have it all complete, what matters to me is the good future and such a fun game that is almost infinite for me because of the possibilities almost What the game has now compared to last year

Have you played the update 3 patch? I think it fixes many problems final horizons had
