Just some stuff that I've learned in my research in terms of good products some good shampoos to use are Dr. Bronners Castile Peppermint shampoo Also to go along with your Rosemary &Mint conditioner there's two other Design Essential products that you can use along with it Their clarifying shampoo 1) Oat Protein & Henna clarifying shampoo 2) Honey Creme moisture shampoo (add moisture back)3) and end with the Rosemary & Mint conditioner For buildup prevention what I'll be doing is what I just told you but I'm adding the dr bronners shampoo as well just for an extra clean, it's def not needed but it feels good lol So for me it's 3 shampoos and a conditioner 1) Oat Protein shampoo (clarify)2) dr bronners shampoo (clarify)3)Honey Creme shampoo (adds moisture back)4) rose Mary and mint conditioner (to further add moisture back.) Make sure you squeeze and rinse everything out GOOD! Anything left in locs can lead to further build up! Maybe something you can try and help you on your journey bro!

Congratulations on 1 year. I'm only 5 months loc'd but I have heard to stay away from the J mango & Lime because it has wax in it. Wax is very hard to wash out of loose hair. I can only imagine how hard it is to wash out of locs.
Congrats on your year! Now your dreads are going to start to have that weight to make them drop faster. Stay lock man and bless! They came along way! AVC RINSE YOUR LOCS ASAP TO GET RID OF THE LOCS! Use natural stuff! Mango and lime is not a good product. I use to use the growth spray and they didn't feel good cause my stylist told me that my hair is dry asf which isn't good For loc(locs have to be soft) . I'm glad you learn a lot but I want to help you and so you can understand a lil more. Stay bless and loc man! I'm a year and five months already! It comes fast!
Tae Loves locs of course Wash your hair and then do the avc rinse, lastly wash your hair again with conditioner. By washing it first it will help bring the build up easier then do the avc rinse. YOUR LOCS WILL GET BETTER AGAIN AND BE HEALTHY ! Stay bless and always gotta support

This my 2nd go round with dreads. I dont use jamaica mango and lime anymore cuz when i cut the 1st set off, i disected them afterwards and looked to see what was in them lol. The whole dread had so much buildup in it, all of em really. And that rosemary mint conditioner is on point, my loctician used that combined with my peppermint aloe shampoo. My scalp felt better than it ever has.
My one year is in Oct. I started the same length like yours. I stop using Locking gel from Jamaican Mango and Lime, but I still use their oil. I switch to the organics by Africans Best. To me it work better for soft hair like mines, and it smell good too. I'm still trying to find a good shampoo and conditioner, being that I only wash my hair once a month (for now)

Before you retwist hold your loc and brush the front line and it qill pull the baby haird forward the edge that up That's what i did. If you go back and look at my line when i first stated compared to now
