This message goes out to PAT. Brother, I want to congratulate you a million times over. I am an ex-addict myself, 15 years clean, so I know how hard it was to step away from that. You will be tempted, but the longer you can resist the more momentum you will build up until you will eventually not think about getting high. You can do anything you put your mind to. Whatever you dream of doing, start the journey now....one foot in front of the other. Love you man!

    • @hullinstruments

And please don't be too dejected if relapse happens. It took me so many times and I would put together a bit of time sober here and there. But something would happen and I would get high again. I had a few months sober, relapse for 2 days, and almost gave up entirely. But I decided to try one more time...... and that was 17 years ago... 17 years sober.
lost so many of my friends and family to addiction. They would put a bit of time of sobriety together..... relapse...... let the guilt eat them up.... and give up. Relapse is a part of recovery period if it happens, don't give up. It's just a speed bump

THIS. THIS IS THE KINDA SHIT WE NEED ON TV, ON THE NEWS, ON SOCIAL MEDIA. This is what we need to show the kids & youth, the government officials, schools, healthcare workers, social workers, ect. The reality of addiction, & the opiate & homeless epidemics. The possibility of SOBRIETY & RECOVERY! The selflessness of helping people that are struggling and the IMPACT we can have have on someone’s life. This video really just blew me away & made me so emotional. I’m 5 years in recovery and these videos just hit my heart different. You’re literally out here changing and saving lives. This is what deserves all the views & all the likes. We need everyone to see more of THIS. Fuck yeah dude.

    This is moving,
I very rarely comment but Pat deserves all the love and praise, seeing his life eighteen months ago to now is proof that if you want to make a change and commit to it, anything is possible, I went to rehab 6 years ago, I hit the rock bottom like he was at and had the same exact attitude he had once I entered out patient, do it for yourself, ask for help and accept the support, it will take you all the way to the finish line, thank you Brandon for the follow up on Pat, this is the positivity the world needs to see, and Pat, hug your family and your kids my man, and stick to it, continue to show up every second of everyday because it does get better, pat yourself on the back brother, you're born a new man.
    Much Love.

    Keep on this path.
I think we can all learn something from this situation. Firstly, Brandon showing a stranger who was down and out some love totally changed Pats perception of himself. It’s cliche, but spreading love can change lives.
This is a chain reaction. And even if you can only help 1 out of 100 people, still that 1 person matters. Just reading the comments, pats story story is already impacting people in a positive way..the love is spreading!
Brandon, you’re a real one. Thanks for using your platform for good.

I was homeless in Baltimore for a whole summer a few years back after spending 10 years homeless in Massachusetts and Baltimore was way worse than anything I've ever seen in my life! It's Disney world of drug addicts literally handing free drugs out to the fiends every morning at 6 am sharp! It's crazy AF! I got out right before tranq hit but I saw it take it's effects in Puerto Rico back in 2004ish when it started but god damn it's nasty! Holes in your body and everything. Thank God I'm sober now after years of drug abuse.Seriously it's people like you Brandon who kept me alive when I was outside on the streets thank you! Shout out Patrick for being a fellow recovering addict we do recover! Shout out to the whole recovery community!!!

Whattup Brandon. This definitely hits my heart. He's my inspiration for sure. Got out of prison after 2 years and relapsed. Got 7 months clean and in the 7 months I've; graduated treatment, got a homegroup in NA, work the steps, (on step 3 right now) got a job, did 80hours of community volunteer work, got my teeth fixed, moving into my own apartment, bought my family presents for the first time ever, and a lil material stuff as well. But we all just trying to get the one day... That's what connects us all. Thanks for this post. Tell my man he definitely inspired me to keep going and I wish him all the best in his new way of life. It definitely gets better. And growth is infinite if we remain teachable. All the way from Portland Oregon. Where opiates are consuming the entire city as well.
