Yes, what an amateur! Most annoying! He’s shooting one noisy picture at a time and the video is quietly taking 30 pictures every second. God how annoying!!! Next time use a mirror-less camera or set your still camera to video mode!
@James Kirk pervert? It doesn't apply here. I was trying to make a point . By the way , I am very happy that she can hear, no matter what she looks like
This poor girl looks petrified. I can only think it's b/c of all the eyes on her, making her self- conscious. She has a beautiful smile. I'd love to see an update on how she's doing now.
Glad kids are getting to hear the sound for the first time.....it's not going to stop. Thanks to all who made it possible for this noble deed... God Bless you all Abundantly.
Well done, Mercury One Nazarene Fund! You've helped so many people in the middle east who faced death, and you have taken it beyond the rescues. Many will be the jewels in your crowns!
UPDATE: Unfortunately, while gaining her hearing via the Cochlear implant, she lost her vision from staring directly into a flash bulb for the duration of the session.
Gunther, you cracked me up. This sounded just like a real news report. HAHA! When I read "via" I started to laugh! Oh wow, you're a riot. God bless you and your fun personality! Peace, Lynne 🍃💜🍃
This is a private and beautiful time. Family first, the annoying camera people later. Recreate the moment. Gezzzzzz. Welcome little lady to the CI Journey. It will be AMAZING
I don't understand the need for a still camera when video is being recorded. And most still cameras have the ability to turn off the shutter noise. Great video!
The doctor is more concerned with talking to the cameras than communicating to his patient what he's doing - she's deaf, not invisible. Yes, she's a bit shy, wonder why? Maybe the 2 cameras and videos recorders in her face have something to do with it. Or maybe she's trying to ignore the circus around her while she experiences a momentous event in her life. I wish her a life full of wonder and joy.
ive been deaf since i was 6. totally dead left ear and only 25 % in right ear which has faded down to about 8 % now. lost my ability to hear on a phone 25 yrs ago. i am now profound. i made a decision a few weeks ago to have this done to me. im 48 now, and its terrifying me. im not sure what i can really expect from it.
That camera man rude jerk , camera on the right doesnt need the light for the video ,only one person should go with her not anyone with a camera.selfish people , poor dr.and the girl
They were utterly unprofessional by not using MIRRORLESS cameras. These cameras are silent if you cancel the beeper (ironically, like these fellows cancelled theirs on their excruciatingly noisy reflex mirror shutters)
Carson Dobey only people with hearing loss or deafness can only understand how it feels to be able to hear again...like myself as well but the hearing aids do help and it can sometimes be difficult at times to understand people when they're speaking to you like in a full sentence.
@@yadiramendez. Thank you so much for your comment! I could not begin to fathom what this must be like. A huge kudos to this incredible project and many thanks to this channel for highlighting these amazing people so that others like myself may be able to learn and share in their joyous moments.
I am going to start looking into a cochlear implant. Been losing my nearing since I was a teen. But now it’s so bad I can’t even have a conversation with people. Get by from lip reading but it’s time to take my life back. I just hope my doctors agree.
Wonderful technology. Too bad “Ansel “ couldn’t just video record this. What the heck are portrait photos going to show of this momentous occasion? Oh look , 1000 photos of her sitting there before she hears!
She's probably like, Yeah everything is OK apart from the constant clicking... Click, click, click, click..... The stupid doctor putting this girl through that barrage of photographs.
The beautiful thing about watching was the expression of the Young ladie dad I Think dad was more excited than the daughter and may God bless you both lm sure you both have a lot of chatting to do
I think that the camera man is total insensitive and I'm sure that every friend or family member that watches this wonderful video must ask Who TF hired that idiot. God bless this young lady ❤️

Inspector29 yeah people talk to them not knowing that they don't know what sound is and people expect for them to answer them back with complete sentences.
@@willsmith589 i don't like to be where there's so much going on...like crowded areas or places with many people around. With hearing aids you don't know which sound it is or where is coming from...it can give you the affect of vertigo and dizziness too.

Great video, but the camera guys were extremely irritating. 1000 shots of the exact same pose...why??? Kinda wondering why she didn't seem overwhelmed...maybe too much at once? Congratulations to her, shes a very beautiful woman.
Craig Barrett yes, I have the oposite, I have Hyperacusis, the sounds are too loud for me, it causes pain to my ears and brain, is due to overexposing to loud noise, there is no cure, take care, use earplugs for concerts, partys, be careful with music in headphones

This video is in detail, the doctor's giving every information. But the Flash and camera's sound is irritating.
But, so what?
Note: never ever let a shutter cameraman in for first hearing session & teach dad how to video
Without light
Oh dear, I was thinking the same thing.
Poor girl is probably thinking the implant is malfunctioning if the shutter is the first and only thing she’s hearing. So annoying!
