She is gorgeous! You did the exact right thing about feeding her. You did not fail. Loving her the way you obviously do is the most important part of nurturing! Congratulations again.
You take the prize for best finish! Vivaroo is absolutely precious! My “bottle fed” 30 year old boy is healthy and happy as ever! You are already a wonderful mom!!!!!
I had a similar experience with my first pregnancy. Water broke while I was doing laundry. No contractions. Got on Pitocin. However, I never dilated past 3 cm and the 24 hour window had past. He was showing signs of distress, so I had a C-section. It saved his life because the cord was wrapped around his neck twice and he was born unresponsive and purple. But he is doing great now. He's 16 years old and driving me crazy! Thank you for sharing your birth story with us!
She is so stinking adorable!!! And so content with you, you can see how much she adores you. A child's love is unlike any other. I am 20 and still cry thinking about all that my mother has done for me. What a blessing. Congrats to you and your little family.
She is precious! Both my boys were bottle babies. My oldest couldn't latch and I didn't produce very long with my second. So, definately more important to feed baby than where it comes from. Thank you for introducing Vivian to us.
Congratulations!! Thanks for sharing your birth story with us. She is BEAUTIFUL! I fought hard to breastfeed my babies for several months, and ended up wishing that I'd just let it go and bottle fed them from the first. Breastfeeding created so many other problems and stress. So that's AWESOME that you were able to let breastfeeding go quickly and do what was best for your baby right away. You're already an amazing mom!! ❤❤❤
Thanks for the video Rachel. Felt like a proper little visit with her. She is perfect and adorable and so are you Mama! You will never go wrong letting your love for your child and your instincts about her well being be your guide. You're glowing and she's growing and you can't ask for better than that. Enjoy every precious moment of her!
Miss Rachel....you do whatever works for you and that sweet baby. Breast, bottle, whatever....you are exactly right, fed is best, whatever that takes. There is no guilt or shame or explanation needed. You are the mama and you know what’s best!!!! She is perfect and she will be just fine because you are her momma! My “baby”just turned 18 and I remember that feeling of when they laid her in my arms like it was 5 seconds ago. Your love for sweet Vivian just permeates everything, you enjoy every second of this season of your life. Much love. 💕
Isn’t it amazing that you THOUGHT you totally knew what Love was.......until they placed her on your chest......! It’s AMAZING isn’t it!!! I am happy that you made it through the delivery okay, blood loss excepted...! And as for the nursing/bottle issue - you are doing and have made the best decision for Vivian’s sake, not anyone else’s. So I think, YOU WIN!! Don’t let anyone tell you different. She is BEAUTIFUL, and I can see bits of you and Jeremy in her - I’d love to know what family members think of who Vivi 😊 looks like most when you and J were babies! I can already see you are just drinking her in - such a great time in a Mother’s life - enjoy, and thank you so much for sharing your sweet baby’s entry 😎 into life!💕💕💕
These are the best kind of videos! Sounds like her birth was quite the adventure! And you are absolutely right, fed is best! I was upset when my first born needed formula around 4 months old because I had my appendix removed, and my mom let me know that I had formula and I was totally awesome 😂 Being a mama looks great on you!
Omg she’s adorable! I too, never make enough for both my kids. I’ve been through that emotional roller coaster, and it’s horrible. You are an amazing mom for choosing fed is best!
Beautiful video!!!! Vivian is precious and beautiful. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Seeing your love for your daughter warmed my heart. Blessings....Renee
Wow! What a finish!! 😍😘💕💕 What a sweet baby girl! I wish I could kiss her too! Thank you for your story. I am old enough to be your mom, but I still remember my own birth stories.....they are all different. You seem so happy and Vivian is so content, I would say that is a big success! Congrats to you and Jeremy!
She is gorgeous. You do what you need to do and to hell with anyone else’s opinions. You are so happy and it totally shows. That little girl is going to have the best life with you two as parents! Congratulations 🎈🎊💞💞💞💝
Congratulations on your newest project. So beautiful. I love when new mothers share the birth story. Enjoy every moment big or small. In a blink of an eye you will be wondering when did you get so big? I say this because my youngest grandkids are five soon to be six....
Congratulations ...she’s beautiful. You must have one strong system. I had Petocyn with my oldest, and remember the nurse coming in saying “I see we’re giving you liquid dynamite” ... I didn’t understand what she meant until about 30 minutes later. Oh yeah .... it sure felt like things were blowing up after that, LOL. Yes, don’t let people and their opinions about breastfeeding get to you. I tried .... neither of my kids wanted any part of it. In the end, I decided my children needed a sane mother and food, you do what’s right for you and Vivian!! (And they grow up just fine, mine are now 15 an 18)! Congrats again!
Rachel she is beautiful and you are a wonderful mother and don't apologize for not being able to breast feed , I agree fed is best and it looks like she is growing so good . Just keep loving her and enjoying her each day because time goes way to fast.
Look at that sweet, sweet pumpkin head. She is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing her with us. Many, many blessings to your precious family dear Rachel. 😘
Congratulations! She is a sweetheart. I couldn’t breast feed either and I felt the same way. Plus the doctor told you to bottle feed. 😊💕🤗💐 you’ll be a great Mom.
Congratulations! I agree she is the cutest!! I would have done the same as far as breast feeding. I hope we get to see more of her as she continues to grow
She is beautiful! Happy healthy baby is always best! I made enough breast milk to feed a village. I could pump 20 ounces every 3 hours and never be dry. However, my kids wouldn't stay awake to nurse. Then, they all got thrush, I got thrush, and it was miserable. Add into that the whole 'never be dry' that I mentioned earlier. After three months of my boobs never being dry (my milk let down at the sound of machinery because of the pump) I couldn't stand it anymore so I quit pumping all together. I got a lot of push back, but a miserable mom also doesn't make for happy babies. And they are all grown and healthy. That's the most important thing.
Rachel!!! She is SO beautiful. I've been wondering about you and her. I breast fed my middle child but not enough for the other two. It's ok. Don't stress about it. She looks wonderful. I'm happy you are o.k. too. I'm sure it's scary thinking about it all now but I'm happy everything worked out for the best.
Absolutely adorable! Thank you so much for sharing your story and for sharing Vivian with us. She's as beautiful as her momma. Would love to see her with Jeremy, so you know, in your "spare time" can we get another video? ;) I'm so glad you are all happy and healthy and please, give her a few more kisses. Love ya!
She is a beautiful little peanut!! Man, breastfeeding is so hard. No one really prepares you for how difficult it can be and people are so judgy about it these days. You do you, mama!! Love seeing your video, hope to see more of you and your new family of three!
What a great birth story.. sweet little Vivian is an angel. I think new moms need to share our stories.. especially about the hardships of breastfeeding and the reality that goes with it. I agree fed is best. I had a horrible time breastfeeding my first and had to go to formula!! It’s all ok as long as our little ones are satisfied. I totally understand wanting to satisfy babes. Congrats and glad you and her are doing so well!!!
Vivian is such a sweetie!! She's seriously cute - and that's from a mom of my own super cute babies. I don't blame you at all for kissing her constantly! That's our joy and privilege of motherhood. :) I'm glad you're healthy and recovered well from the blood complications. I had trouble with my youngest baby not gaining weight because we discovered she had a tongue tie. So, I was a puddle of tears when I heard I would need to supplement with formula for awhile until we had her tie clipped. Thankfully, she regained her weight and got back to exclusive breastfeeding eventually. But then, she went on strike at 11 months, and decided she was done nursing. I wasn't ready, since she was my last baby and I wanted to savor every bit if it. Parenting doesn't always go the way we hope, but it's still a joy, and your attitude is great - she's fed and healthy and happy! Have a wonderful time enjoying your little sweet pea!
Congrats to the whole family! Vivian is just beautiful and so alert. Love how she watches you. I had four children, TRIED to breast feed, felt so pressured by so many. My fourth was having severe weight loss and I felt like I had failed once again. Wish I had your attitude back then, love your comment that your boobs failed! I agree that some women just don't produce enough milk,(no matter what the experts say). Better to know she is getting enough food than have all the frustration and stress. Enjoy every moment! TFS ❤😊
Hi!!!! How wonderful to see you and Viv! She’s so cute - Congratulations to you and Jeremy! Man - you’ve motivated me.. I have to get a move on and make a video because I’ve definitely been putting it off. I’m glad you were okay in the end, but that sounds scary! At least you already had the little one when you found out, as that must have helped a ton!!! I’m sorry the breastfeeding didn’t work out but at least we have wonderful scientific advancement and formula (and very good formula!) is available!
Thanks for sharing your story Rachel, a bit of a rough time but all’s well in the end. With my first we struggled with Brest feeding and I had to supplement and I gave up at four months. With my second....I had buckets of milk and could have fed several, I expressed and donated to the neonatal unit so don’t feel bad, next time may be entirely different. Every pregnancy , every birth and every child is different . You did everything you could and that’s all you can do, please don’t feel bad about it. She’s healthy and happy as are you so it’s all good. She’s beautiful Rachel, so bright and aware of her surroundings and she has gorgeous eyes. What do the pets think of her? Take care of you both.💖🙋🏼
I didn't make enough for my 3 kids either. And they're perfectly healthy. I'm hoping to breastfeed Bear, but if that doesn't work, we have bottles and formula ready.
She is gorgeous! You did the exact right thing about feeding her. You did not fail. Loving her the way you obviously do is the most important part of nurturing! Congratulations again.
