They are not trainees.. They are members of different underrated Kpop groups.. they debuted like 1-6 years ago but didn't get the spotlight they deserve...

The Unit (the show this video is from) was made by casting underrated kpop idols who deserved a second chance at fame. The top nine on the show formed UNB, but only Hansol at the time was technically a trainee still.

jun is from UKISS they debuted in 2008. He joined in 2014. In all honesty Some of the ones that made it to debut with UNB shouldn't have. Those who debuted earlier than 2015 I can see but those after no. They should've gone on PD101. Just like Nuest should've came on here and not pd101. I'm not saying those who debuted with UNB didn't make it there on talent just basing my opinion. Yes I'm glad Jun won he is the most deserving

To cover BTS songs you have to really understand the lyrics and the message because every song has its own story. Really glad they decided to cover Butterfly and put their twist to it, it really shows their interpretation of the song but also doesn't lose the message. Great performance.
And they understood it 💕💕💕 their performance made me tear up
Literally the only good BTS cover by idol production shows. They were the only ones that got that the songs were supposed to send a message, and not just anyone's message but their very own. THIS IS A TALENTED GROUP OF BOYS.

for me, the reason that they they won was because they knew the meaning of the song, they put the appropriate emotion not just because it was needed but because they sang it from their heart just they way BTS sang the BUTTERFLY ❤️ That cries at the last part is one of the proof they got the meaning of the song deeper 👌👏😍 Nice boys! They composed their own lyrics in the rap part that's why their emotions were delivered so well (and some also cried). Had they sticked with the original lyrics, the impact could have been less powerful because it has a different meaning. But both lyrics have beautiful message. What I am just trying to point out is that the reason why the boys got emotional was not because it is a BTS song, but because their own lyrics came from their hearts. :)

Oh my goshh i find it so cool that other idols are now doing covers of bts! It feels like not long ago bts were covering their sunbaenim's song, and now other idols are covering bts's songs. I feel like a proud mom.

I'm over here tearing up and I don't even know what they said. The emotion was so strong. This was such a great cover. They got the audience emotionally attached. An idol group can have it all, dancing, vocal, rapping, but if you cant emotionally be attached to your music, then there is no point of debuting. I really hope each of them make it far in the music industry.
BlankTae the rappers, Jun from U-Kiss, Ungjae from Imfact and Heedo from B.I.G all wrote about their hardships and trying to chase their dreams. Jun wrote the lyrics, thinking about his members as he said towards the end and Heedo wrote about his parents and how supportive they were for 5 straight years even when his group ended up not progressing. Ungjae wrote about I guess his process through his time, trying to chase his dreams as he said in the survival show(a.k.a The Unit) he wanted to compose better and stuff like that which made the song even more personal for them all even with singing like it’s their last stage.
How I wish there were English sub on the lyrics too including the revised personal rap part.... This is really frustrating...

fun fact: Jun and Suwoong are both in the Kdrama Imitation. Just found out when I watched this Performance again and thought Suwoong reminds me of someone I just watched.
In the Drama Suwoong hates Jun because he allegedly snatched his place in the band Shax. Ironically IRL Suwoong also was almost a member of BTS too. So I think he definitely can relate and his tears in this Buttlerfly Performance are real! 🤗 I‘m wondering if they sometimes reminiscing their The Unit time together when they were filming that drama hehe

I'm not fluent in Korean but I could feel their emotions through their voice and expression. They got me shaken. Especially, when he called out "Dad and Mother", my tears wouldn't stop falling out. My eyes were sore. Hjx, who wouldn't have known life would be so hard...and harder if you have a dream, which seems so near but yet far away.
I am not fluent too but their emotions literally just, i don’t know. They made my heart contract in pain even though the only thing i understand is the chorus itself and when he said “Mama, papa”. I felt like crying.

The fact that so many people thought they are trainees is just so depressing. The most senior in this group Gunwoo from MYNAME debuted over 6 years and is even BTS sunbae. Many who got eliminated early not because they are not good, some had no screentime will probably go back to their nugu idol life. Please give them a chance. This was a cover mission and they have made it their own.

I’ve never really liked any covers of this song bc I feel like the vocals were already perfect and the song was portrayed beautifully, but this version really made me cry. I can sense how passionate and genuine they are when they sing it, and that gives me so much joy.
Also, Casper reminds me so much of Jackson, like the similarities are uncanny

No ones gonna talk about Gunwoo's adlibs? 💕 amazing right? You see. All of The Unit participants deserves the world. They are all talented and their trials have been more than any trainees that could ever been. They are the mosr hardworking 💕
Because the camera didn't focus on him when he did the high notes and adlibs. That line was even labelled as Casper. Even if Gunwoo isn't hungry for attention, KBS has been doing dirty to him since day one of the show.
별자리 idk. Maybe, they weren't good at editing at that time. Well, they improved in the next episodes though. And, sadly Gunwoo was eliminated at that time.
It's KBS we're talking about they couldn't be bad at editing. And the total amount of screentime that Gunwoo has in the whole show is probably only 20 sec (excluding performances).

Sharon Wah I think the result is actually really fair. And I'm glad there weren't much difference. The other team actually are better at rapping if you judge on technicalities alone but Butterfly Team beat them because of sincere & emotional rap plus meaningful lyrics.
