    What a great tutorial, it was exactly what I was looking for. I like the petals either way but a bit more with the darker outline.

    Thank you for sharing this beautiful technique! I like both with the black outline and without. The black outline is a bit more dramatic, while the version without is a little softer and painterly. Beautiful!

    I’ve been sewing for years and years but I’ve never tried thread painting. You make this look sew easy! I think I’ll just get in there and give this some practice and go for it. Your question about the black - I like the after effect best. Since Covid I’m watching all these wonderful techniques on you tube and have leaned to CAST them onto my television. Boy, I’m amazed at how close up we can see every stitch. Just love your tulips. Thanks again.

      You are so very welcome Ann. I really do love this technique myself along with the fabric painting with the derwent pencils. It creates a unique one of a kind work. Thank you for your comment and learn from all the you tubers out their. We offer so much inspiration. x x x

    Hi Cassie, how are you? Been a long time, since I saw your latest uploads. As, I so many subscriptions. In this thread painting, you must have filled with straight stitch only know? And outline and inside shading streaks also in straight stitch? Looking very pretty. :👌:)

    • @FaodailCreation

      Yes it's all straight stitch. Welcome back.

    EITHER WAY ON THE OUTLINE...Did you draw the petals on the fabric, if so, what did you use to draw with ............... and also what kind of fabric? TY!

    • @FaodailCreation
      @FaodailCreation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I draw outlines I use frixion pens. They iron out when heated. You can check out my amazon page www.amazon.com/shop/faodailcreation?listId=1N5ERRM2P7PF8 if you decide to purchase via my link there will be a small commission for me at no cost to you. I used a plain white fabric for this however, I do have ready to dye fabric now. either or.

    Thanjs for the video. At what point do you add the background fabric to the quilt?

    • @FaodailCreation
      @FaodailCreation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the background for this was white as you can see, what you could do is each block then sew them all together to make a bigger quilt

    • @trudibruges
      @trudibruges 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FaodailCreation I dont understand. I see the batting in the video (the middle layer of a quilt), no background fabric. In the beginning you say that you add the backing fabric later, bc you dont want to have all those threadpaiting stitches on the background fabric.

    • @FaodailCreation
      @FaodailCreation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think I said backing fabric, because I so heavily thread paint then what i'll do is add the backing fabric then quilt the outline of the flower to attach all the quilt sandwich together. Sorry for the miscommunication before. Does that answer the question?
