Free motion thread painting and quilting with your Brother machine

Today I will give just a beginning lesson on free motion on your sewing machine. Anyone can do free motion on just about any sewing machine.

I am a new subscriber, and I never knew I could do this on my sewing machine. I do have a Brother PE535 embroidery machine, but I wanted to do larger projects, with this method of thread painting I think I will be able to accomplish a lot of great projects. Thank you so much and God Bless

This is a wonderful technique! I've been looking for a way to monogram my felt creations especially, my felt beaded and sequined Christmas stockings. Thank you for sharing.

@@enchantingrosemary8776 I have a several felt stockings that I've been trying to figure this out. I had thought about buying another domestic sewing just for this. I will try your method on a scrap piece sample like my stockings are put together to see. If this works for me, scrap the need for a new machine. I will let you know-thanks again.

What kind of machine do you have?

I sew on a Brother 2500 D. It is an older embroidery machine very much like the Brother sewing only 2500.

i have a PE425, can i use it for free motion quilting?

I am not sure if that is a sewing machine. The SE 425 is a sewing/embroidery combo. You can do free motion on that but it has very little space. It will do it just like in the video you will just not have a lot of room to move around. It does have to have the sewing capability. Is your an embroidery only machine?
