- [Recorded July 2012] First of all, I discovered that Mark VII is NOT a car wash model made by Ryko. Mark VII is actually an independent German company. If you can't tell, this is the first one I've been through. I shot this video on a recent trip I made to St. Louis. Follow me on:

oh dear lord this thing brings back bad memories. We were on a road trip, and ended up using a touchless wash for the first time ever. The real problem was that the bay was VERY grim looking and poorly lit. Put two and two together and well... worked great, scared the crap out of us.
Apparently they've renovated the place since and switched to a Razor 3 (AND A BAY THAT AT LEAST HAS SIDE WINDOWS NOW)
For some strange reason, this car wash reminds me of the eighties television game show, "Press Your Luck". Watch out for those "Whammies"!
Same here
thats one of the reasons those particular ones seem to be the most intresting
maybe thats why this car wash is my favorite
TheElevatorChannel, I love your videos! They're the best ones I have ever seen in many years!
Mark VII is a subsidiary of WashTec AG,so the dryer was probably from an older Ryko machine.
Thats a Mark VII AquaJet 500, Great Find! (Its Kind Of Odd that it has a thrust pro dryer!)
Ryko probably serviced it
Mark VII had the Vortex Driers found on the 98. This place could have had a Ryko, and they left the driers.
The panel on the dryer says " Ultra Sonic Wash by Ryko". This means that it was bought used from a US 2001 OHD machine, like the one you filmed in Lake Ozark. The bay didn't use to have a US 2001 OHD, because there aren't any signs that there was an overhead rail.
I have a feeling they had a Ryko R7 or a Ryko Voyager before they put the Mark Vii in
@@CrestwoodRocks I think it might of been a ryko xs 2 or maxx
Pretty much everything it does even when it goes back for that presoak and when it does an empty pass is pretty normal. It rolls back briefly to switch nozzles for different angles.
Mark VII was very popular where I lived in the late 90s... but this design is a bit different than those were. I don't think any of those from back then are still in use today.
THE AIR COMMAND AVMX 96016 GUC IS COMPLETE AND RUNNING.
You must be a big toyota fan!
lol this video was shot on my birthday!!
Happy Birthday
He lives in Jefferson City, MO.
Don't those keypad things usually talk and beep? The ones you've done before have talked and beeped. This one only beeps.
yes, thats because you filmed the GTO 700, this is the Aquajet 500, this is a much older system!
I had the most awesome day today I just got the first phase of my new AMANA air command heating & cooling system witch is the air command GUC 9601 modulating furnace. Next will the matching condenser unit and thermostat for the second try. First try with thermostat it powered up but settings could not be changed.
yep
Fun fact: I work a block from a Mark VII service office.
The Thrust-Pro dryer can be sold separatly.
Nowadays, most mark vii car wash systems ether have the Aqua dry dryer 99% of the time, or the vortex drop down dryer 1% of the time. both dryer types are made by the mark vii company.
The Triangle shaped drop down Vortex dryers are basically extinct. I don’t even know if there’s any left. Although I filmed a Mark VII with the ultra rare off board Top nozzle Vortex dryers which are basically extinct as well.
This is awesome working gt 500 with the rotating heads on it i miss these systems i actually have two in my hometown and would it be possible to do a revisit to this place cause it's a new system there now at this gas station
Noooo mark 7 is the mfg of this 700 gto it usta be a ryko converted to mark 7 but they kept the dryers
Every mark VII Is different
that's very true.
SIMONIZEING MARK 7.
Washtec made it very cool.
We used one of these once. I wonder if Mark vii has a deal with ryko for dryers in the US. Maybe because the dryers that mark vii dryers are not compatible with the us. Just a guess. Ryko is a favorite of mine to? Ate they your favorite company?
Hey, you filmed this right after our meet up! Cool!
These are all over the place in Virginia. Maybe not the same exact model but similar systems.

That red light is burned out
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE CARWASH AND GAS STATIONS?
The Car Wash is a Mark 7 and it is at Shell. well this one is.
Nice video! It's weird that there is a Thrust Pro dryer in the bay with a Mark VII System.
This bay probably had a ryko system in it at one point and left the dryer
@@tatos529 Wow! I never thought it was a Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 Overhead before.
@@tatos529 These Thrust Pros are nice dryers. If I am not mistaken, they have two slimline models on each side of the follower .
i never seen it in action
It just has ryko dryers but it is not made by ryko
Are you in neutral
Park
Great vid can you revisit this wash?
I'm not sure what the mark 7 aquajet did on the presoak cycle.
Zackery Smith it did presoak
Edit: it did indeed do presoak
This was ripped out and replaced with a Mark VII SoftWash or ChoiceWash XT.
The Car Wash Fanatic Did they keep the dryers or did they get replaced too?
Brody Collins I believe they replaced them.
