You only started 2 years ago?? You're doing great! I thought it was 4 years but I think it was actually 3. We moved in 2020, and I think I attended Dr. Leo's class in 2021 when I got my first 4 hives. How many do you have now?

@@curly-hairedcountrygal1275 I am at 22 full layens hives ( I have a couple resource hives also) 1 langstroff (just as a experiment to see the difference) and 3 long lang ( again to experiment to see what the differences are. Yes my journey with this began about the same timeframe as yours did, it is nice to see we are going at about the same rate. I am hopeful of my overwinter this year would like to grow to about 30 hives and able to sell about 10 3 frame nucs next year with the splits. I am pretty convince with doing the experimenting that I definitely prefer the layens system. Last winter i went into it with 16 layens and 5 long lang I lost 1 layens and 4 long lang. I am pretty stubborn so I populated the long lang again and populated a langstroff box to test one more time to see how the bees do.
