I'm a sound engineer as well and your observation is correct. Rode sounds toghter since it's a dynamic microphone.

if Rode pod mic is sounding you Good, Then i guess its time for you to buy new set of headphone.
Condenser mic captures more frequency which means the voice will sound more natural which is perfect for studio environment. But if you’re planning on having a podcast rod mic will be the go . It will be almost impossible to remove all the background noise from a condenser mic even in a studio environment you can still capture the noise from the interface fan but since music has beats you don’t really hear it

Yes a lil EQ on the low shelf and lil bit on high shelf it can sound amazing. However the durability is an issue. Rode Podmic will last much much longer

The cheap one surprisingly had more bass in it but Podmic had more clarity.
If budget isn't concern Podmic it is.
But based on my sound design experience, these cheap Condenser Microphone go bad really fast.

The podmic sounds better and is definitely better for every environment
the proximity sound better on the cheap condensor microphone (proximity / distance = d = ( x 2 − x 1 ) 2 + ( y 2 − y 1 ) 2) but the treble is good on the rode podmic. looking at the prices you can get rode podmic around 11K to 14K INR but in my opinion you should buy the cheap condensor microphone because the bass and the lower frequency is good for podcast , streaming and much more but you can use the podmic for high clarity voice. Because the treble is high and the bass and high frequency quality will cause headache well not for everyone for some people. lower frequency and the bass in cheap condensor microphone is good it will not cause headache. 80% of the world likes to listen to low frequency and low bass mic. so the cheap condensor wins. this my honest opinion.
There's a New-ish option called Sennheiser Profile USB microphone that has onboard controls and very reasonable price not if going for the boom arm kit 5000 INR Extra🤔🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Otherwise compact practical and those who like things to be out of the way reading or explaining stuff or out of frame no software nothing just on mic physical controls and USB-C!👍🏼 Searching for issues or longer used users reviews before Burn🔥💰 on Mic Webcam!

Hello. My friend and I want to start a podcast, but we don't have a lot of knowledge about the subject. However, we really want to do it as it is an event we've been wanting to do for a while. What kind of microphone should we choose for a beginner level? Do we have to choose a model with an XLR input? Or will the quality of our recordings increase "wow" significantly compared to USB models? Our budget is a maximum of $500. If you have any models or setups you can recommend, I would be very happy. You can go with Neewer Podcast mic kits as beginner.
Those are cheap and sounds good to get started.
Cheap one may sound good, but probably has terrible gain, floor noise, and noise rejection. No doubt it’ll probably break itself in due time

Your setting will determine it inside the stresm settings i was able to hit my desk and not cause my mic sound to be activated.

The cheap one is better considering it has the fome cover on on test. After all, the sound will differ depending on streaming quality the user chooses 🤷🏿♂️

Both are good but i feel cheap one has more base kind of sound which we can manage from audio interface but the main deal is here the cheap mic wont perform good in noiser environment
Cheap one is a condensor and it catches ambience as well. While Rode is dynamic cardiod and it catches only what's in front of it.

But Condensor mic missing highs. A lil bit of eq it can sound good. However Rode has an amazing built quality. Also Condensor mic will catch ambient noise a lot. Podmic won't
@@jstudiopro1 Generally correct but also that depends, try the Rode Broadcaster and the NT1, pretty good at rejecting background noise and they are condenser. I am not a fan of the Podmic, but do love my Rode mics in general. The NT1, Procaster, Broadcaster, Wireless Go II, etc. are all excellent. As for Dynamic: I would take a SM58, sE V7 or even a budget Behringer XM8500 over the Podmic any day.

I am looking to buy a microphone budget 50-150. My requirement is I want to make TH-cam tutorial video where I will be demonstrating courses on my computer so I don’t want the microphone to come in between my laptop or in front of my face that I can’t see the laptop or type on the keyboard. Basically I want a good sound and comfortably I can make video. I have no problem if mic comes into frame but I hope you understand what you meant.
What suggestion you have?
Get any mic and then use Adobe Podcast to enhance the audio it will give you amazing professional sounding results

SM7DB, the new Shure Mic, is better than Podmic. However, for the price difference between both of them, the Podmic can't be compared to SM7B or SM7DB. I made a detailed video about SM7DB it's on my channel. Check it out.
Thanks a lot, I am presently using the scarlet mic for my podcast, its a good mic but sometimes point it to my guest is not perfect as it grabs sound from one side of the mic, n I have to observe the mic logo for direction. Therefore I m planning to pick two of these

@dewdrops222 there are 2 Godox microphone videos on my channel check them out. One is for phone one is for camera. Both are good ones. M not sure about their price in your region.

human voice has limited freq range, so it's easy to pick up the range with not so expensive transducer. No need for hyped up full range mics.

You do realize one is a dynamic mic and the other one is condenser mic :)
The Podmic also has a built-in pop filter so you don’t even need to use one. They did it for looks
Pod mic senses a lil more bass aspect. Cheap a lil crackle. It might be catching the saliva in your mouth. Otherwise, no difference.

Does rode mic need an interface?
There are two versions for Rode Podmic. One XLR which will need an interface to connect the xlr mic, the other which recently came out is Rode Podmic USB. It has xlr and USB-C connection. So with USB C you wouldn't need an interface. Connect directly to your computer. The mic has builtin preamp.
