  • @jaayeee24
    @jaayeee24 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

    I’ve learned my lesson after 2 domestic violence incidents…
    1. When I was 16, after a football game I went to the movies with a couple teammates. In the parking lot we saw a BIG man beating on his girl. We thought to get out and help her but thought it was better to get the cops. We drove, got the cops and came back.
    The woman said there was no problem. Got in the car and drove off with the man as he stared at us like he was gonna kill us.
    I vowed to never intervene in domestic violence because I strongly believe she would have told the cops that we just jumped him for no reason if we tried to defend her.
    2. I was 30 and pulled into a parking spot at the gym. I see a man in a car with his girl screaming at her. She gets out of the car and tries to leave. He runs around the car, grabs her, slams her against the car and then back in the car and slams the door. He continued screaming and hitting her. At this point I was going to intervene but remembered the incident from when I was 16. I reminded myself to mind my business and went to the gym.
    2 days later I saw them in the gym, hugged up and kissing on each other and repeatedly saw them at the gym together, day after day seemingly happy.
    I was glad I minded my business and didn’t intervene since she obviously wasn’t ready to leave and I went to this gym every day at the same time and saw them almost every day. He and I would have had an ongoing problem.
    With all that being said, I highly respect Mr. Mohammad for intervening. If I saw a man beating a woman with a bike handle, even knowing what I know I may intervene. No real man wants to witness violence against a woman especially deadly violence.
    HOWEVER, when I was younger my dad told me something that I’ve found to be very true…never break up a fight unless you’re willing to fight!
    If you step into a domestic violence situation you have to be ready to truly fight for that woman and be as aggressive as her attacker who is already on 10…and you have to watch out for her as well because she loves the attacker. It’s an extremely dangerous situation and I just talked myself out of ever getting involved…AGAIN!

    • @Barbywinston
      @Barbywinston 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The women don't always love their attacker. I am quite sure the many women who have lost their lives to an abuser wish someone had intervened and helped them.

    My bf (at that time now a ex) and I were walking into Walmart and in parking lot a man was yelling at his girl and slapped her. My bf ran over there and pushed the guy away twice. Here's the twist I did NOT expect. The WOMAN STARTED PUSHING MY BF AND DEFENDING HER GUY! Saying things like who do you think you are and mind your business etc. At which point the guy tries to come back and land a swing on my bf. Since then my he has never interjected himself in another altercation regardless of what's going on.

    • @tcalip2968

      That does not stop a real Man from asking if the Woman is alright because most Women are not going to fight a Man who is helping them from being abused. I will appreciate it if Men stop trying to stop Everyone from helping the Women who are not like that. I do not help People who do not want to be helped either. I am definitely going to fight back and most People know which ones are not going to get upset when Someone tells the truth about them. I do not care if the Guy is Muslim, White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Latino, etc. all I care about is if he is going to tell the truth. I cannot agree to everything that People believe in. I can tell the truth. Thanks for sharing.

    Much respect to this man but I question any teaching that elevates a woman's natural position. Man was created first, a women is his help. I do not condone domestic violence in any scenario. I hear black leader speak about it only one way. Women are exrtremly disrepscteful towards men. Women are abusive in several ways. The brothers logic is to show your power by building a bigger business? Why, so the women you're involved with can take half of the earnings, legally through the courts? Proverbs 21:19 is the truth. Brothers, learn early to immediatly walk away from any women that shows the slightest evidence of being disrespectful towards you or any man. That is your power. Men create, men build, men carry the seeds of life. If a women is not on code, it is not your responisibilty to show or work with her. As a man your responisibilty is to create your kingdom, then select the women that fits into your creation, if you choose to deal with one. He spoke of a women's nature of being a mother, but shouldn't a women be a wife first? Did he describe what a wifes characteristics are? How can you progress to step 2 before perfecting step1? Most imporatnatly, what he did not say. NEVER get involved in a domestic dispute between a couple. You do not know what that women did or what that man is capable of. Inform the authorities and walk the opposite direction. Countless men are in the ground and prison trying to defend a women not worhty of their eneregy.
