This does not working for me. I align a room where it's supposed to be and the app puts it somewhere else that's wrong. Is there an override?

Hi. Using the realign feature is not an override or guarantee the second time aligning will be different from the first. However, if you do run into issues with Realign not working, try the trick I mentioned at the end. Select the misaligned scan position along with the position it should be aligned to and move them both to a new floor. Try realigning again. This will help by reducing the other possible alignment points from the process. Once realigned, move the positions back to their original floor to confirm realignment was successful.

Thanks. Clearly not as simple as it looks. Takes some practice 😊

Hi, the realign option is missing on my android app. When selecting scans my only options are to Delete scans or move to a floor.

@@AlexRanedo Hi. You may need to update to the latest version of the app. If that doesn't work, please reach out to support@matterport.com and they'll be able to take a closer look to see what may be happening.

@@Matterport thanks so much for the reply. Actually I discovered the solution. And it's a very simple one in the end. The option only comes up in a window in portrait mode in the app but not in ladscape mode.

I'm getting a lot of mis alignments and cannot figure what causes it. Some scans are great, others never align even if I shoot only a few inches away. Having trouble shooting in a bathroom of an apartment and then being able to get a scan around the corner in the bathroom without having the camera appear in the mirror from the spot they connect with... I might do a 1200 sq ft 2 bedroom apartment with 20 scans, and then ill be in a studio or a 1 bedroom and I cannot get the scans to align for my life. It makes no sense I don't understand what I'm doing wrong ...please anybody 😢

Hi. I'm sorry to hear you're running into so many issues and I know how frustrating that is. I can't say for sure this is the problem without know more about the environment, but I can say bathrooms can be especially challenging due to all the reflections. Try marking all the mirrors and even the shower glass as either a window or mirror in the app as you're working your way through the space. By marking all the reflective surfaces you're telling the app to ignore that area of the pano and use only the other areas to find alignment.
Once the entire house is complete, remove any unnecessary markings before uploading so they don't process along with the model data.
