I've seen so many videos about other tools. People like me skipping indesign, because it looks difficult. But as you said, the professional clean work on printing products or even a digital planner should be done in Indesign!
Susan Arscott I have never used a Mac but in watching others use InDesign on a Mac I believe the software itself is the same. The keyboard shortcuts are a little different. I believe when a PC user does Control + C, for example to copy, it is Command +C on a Mac.
How do you import pages from a pdf you already made in another software program so you can make a planner, for instance. Also, can you move pages around?
Use File-->Place to import a pdf page. For a planner though, I recommend designing it directly in InDesign for best quality, or using a graphics program and importing it as source file (for example many people design graphic elements in Adobe Illustrator and then embed the .ai file into their InDesign documents). All the shapes, lines and boxes for a planner can be made in Indesign though. To rearrange pages, in the Pages window you can just drag and drop the thumbnails around. Another option is to right click on the page thumbnail (in the Pages window) and select Move Pages and you can select where you want to place it. This option is best if you need to move something many pages--like from page 98 to page 4.
@@printablesacademy , thanks! I will give it a try. I was using Tangent Templates and they use InDesign. But, it's hard to merge the files. So, I bought and downloaded InDesign last night, in hopes to be able to merge the files, make more pages, and move them around. ;-) I appreciate your response!

Great tutorial, Had no idea could create forms for my book to make it digital. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
I’m struggling to learn in design on a Mac and worry the pc Indesign
interface is different. Does your course address both Mac and pc?
