  • This video provides ideas that are an alternative to using screen time when traveling. So rather than distracting the little ones with screens the focus here is on creating a parent and child connection.
I researched this topic and found a bunch of great resources from child development specialists and therapists, so the ideas here focus a lot on the brain's cognitive function as a way to help toddlers and kids to calm down on the plane.
The reason I wanted to bring this video to the community is that as a parent traveling alone with a 2 year old toddler these approaches have given me a lot of peace of mind and confidence. We no longer experience big emotional melt downs that set me off into panic mode on the plane. Yes we still get over tired and over excited but the tips and activities in this video allow me to have more approaches and tools at my disposal to calm the situation down.
I would love to hear if have you tried any of these with your children? Or if you have other tips that have worked really well to calm kids down? If so please share and drop me a comment down below as I would love to hear what else is out there!
