- All oxygen absorbers are not created equal. We selected 7 brands of 500 cc oxygen absorbers and compared them using simple tests. We are not scientists and do not have the necessary equipment to test oxygen levels accurately. We are just a couple of old folks who have stored lots of food over the years. You look at the results and see what you think.

Oxygen absorbers are a fantastic tool for preventing oxidation and food infestation. We highly recommend using them on dry goods that are less than 10 percent moisture and low in fat. Don't use them in sugar or salt because it will turn them hard.
