@@boxloid I myself never played all of them and had to search it up before reply. Turns out there are 19 official touhou games. And not to mention the enormous number of mods and fan games there are. Touhou community is enormous and even now I don't get enough of it. Except for the games there are official and fan-made manga, so many creators like this who STILL upload stuff, conventions for Touhou alone and a lot more.

MTB's version and the original are both on equal footing imo. MTB has one with superior animations, and the original has the nostalgia factor that makes me think of the days when I'd do nothing but browse nico nico douga every day

I might be mistaken, but I think the original video, and by extension this one, has a subtitle error - I think it's supposed to be "High Vivid Chartreuse Oni" in that one part instead of SHUTTERS. It makes sense with the other colors being listed, and the background is chartreuse colored.
Some minor mistakes I noticed: 0:12 / 2:00 when correcting "shutters" you removed "green". At 1:38 it says "di" instead of "do". At 2:53 theres a blank box during the whitescreen.

This is hella good. It pays homage to the original while still doing its own thing and doing it damn well. I don't know hardly anything about Touhou or it's community but there is a clear amount of passion and effort that went into this. Great work dude.
How is this so well animated? I absolutely love her menacing pose at the beginning, and the way she points at her horns when she says she’s a goblin is a great touch.
No lie: Suika was the sole reason I got into fighting games. I just had to fight this chipper oni in her debut game, and that meant learning the basics that would open the door to other classic fighting game franchises. It's neat seeing her getting meme status love, all these years later.
The Touhou fighters are seriously unique, with their mega emphasis on projectiles, and the ability to graze projectiles. There's also more, such as weather which helps spice the game (Fucc Typhoon and River Mist, though), as well as the spellcard system which allows you to change special moves and basically have a new playstyle within one character. Also Suika main? Noice, unga bunga funi high 2.5k+ dmg basic combos for no reason lol

@@boxloid I myself never played all of them and had to search it up before reply. Turns out there are 19 official touhou games. And not to mention the enormous number of mods and fan games there are. Touhou community is enormous and even now I don't get enough of it.
Except for the games there are official and fan-made manga, so many creators like this who STILL upload stuff, conventions for Touhou alone and a lot more.

MTB's version and the original are both on equal footing imo. MTB has one with superior animations, and the original has the nostalgia factor that makes me think of the days when I'd do nothing but browse nico nico douga every day

The subtitles are actually really well written, using caps to highlight when she sings in English is brilliant.
It's actually not a very good translation. I don't think anything is necessarily wrong, but the word choices and phrasing could be better.

I might be mistaken, but I think the original video, and by extension this one, has a subtitle error - I think it's supposed to be "High Vivid Chartreuse Oni" in that one part instead of SHUTTERS. It makes sense with the other colors being listed, and the background is chartreuse colored.

No lie: Suika was the sole reason I got into fighting games. I just had to fight this chipper oni in her debut game, and that meant learning the basics that would open the door to other classic fighting game franchises. It's neat seeing her getting meme status love, all these years later.
The Touhou fighters are seriously unique, with their mega emphasis on projectiles, and the ability to graze projectiles. There's also more, such as weather which helps spice the game (Fucc Typhoon and River Mist, though), as well as the spellcard system which allows you to change special moves and basically have a new playstyle within one character.
Also Suika main? Noice, unga bunga funi high 2.5k+ dmg basic combos for no reason lol
