BJP MP Varun Gandhi filed a petition against his own Narendra Modi government to fill 90 Lakh vacancies across India in various government and public offices. Filling these many vacancies adds burden to the ex-chequer in the long term and less efficiency in the work. There is a vicious cycle once a person becomes a government employee. Most important once they are full time they stop working. Unless there is a mindset change, work ethic and professional attitude that Government has to work for the people and not the reverse this won't happen. By the end of 2025 its expected to go upward of 1.20 crores vacancies.
