Hey guys! We hope you're all well and enjoyed our latest video! What did you think of it?
I (Andy) have currently nicknamed the Cortez "The Hydra", for every problem we fix we get two more in its place.
    L isn't a fan so I can't see it sticking for long!
Don't forget, if you enjoyed this video please give it a "like" and if you haven't already subscribe to our channel to follow along with our progress the our Cortez project!

There is always something new to fix on these all gals. I just replaced the exhaust manifolds and oil cooler lines on my GMC this weekend. Nice work on the carb, I haven't tried that yet, might switch over to EFI.

Thanks Ethan, and you're exactly right! Before we hit the road we'll be converting to EFI but for now the carb will do to keep the Cortez mobile on the farm and in case we ever have to get it somewhere. How did the manifold swap go? Eventually I want to get the manifolds off our 360, cleaned up and ceramic coated. There isn't much room in the Cortez engine bay and it gets HOT quickly, I want to try and reduce the temperatures in there as much as possible. Andy&L

@@SoulofaSeeker it was ok, I had to replace one because a previous owner broke a tab off and welded on some fix. Lucky I found one in good shape on eBay. I cleaned them up and painted them with VHT paint and baked them in an old toaster oven, we'll see how they do a while.
