A "Grizzly" or a "De-Rocker" before the trommel input will save your trommel from premature wear and improve your yards per hour pay dirt handling. Save money and make more money per hour.
***** As with any material handling system, the rock pile is just moved out. You have never mined and/or run a wash plant? I have seen 1/8th plate get worn thin as paper in no time under continual material pounding. Large rock being the main culprit.
It's a Dispatch and Garlick trommel and can handle the tonnage. They want everything to go through, if they had a reject grid at the primary stage, some gold would run off the bars, so they go all-in to get everything and build the plant to handle the large stuff.
Im trying to find something like this except for metal,,with small holes leading to bigger holes to sort by size.Any body seen any videos of what im talkind about?
This has a 12mm mesh fitted. This is very typical however any size mesh can be fitted generally between 10 to 14mm holes.
Water source nearby. Water from that source led to a pond. Water is then recycled via a settling pond.
yep - I want THAT setup !
Very nice operation ... plain and simple!
I'm surprised at the small mesh size though.
yes very nice operation indeed, what is the rotation speed or the reduction gear ratio
very nice setup
do they use the tailings for for anything ?

Ken Horlor
I know this is a tried a true method but just looking at that watery slush wash down it seems like a lot of gold would wash away with it.
