i got to fist bump a giant Bumble Bee one time 😂awesome to hear from Jonny (my 1st time i think), now i know why this episode is so long, he has so much to tell about transformers! he even brought a cat!! i've never seen any book art before, thanks for sharing! 🤩
fire ep brothas, anytime we get to peak into the jonny vault is a blessing , got so much fire its worth goin down with the ship if it really came down to it
I'm only interested in a few of the arts from 92 as well, but very excited to see UD doing this. I'd rather a serial numbered parallel in hand than a psa 10 thats probably been scrubbed trimmed or misgraded....what i would love for someone to discuss - how much value is baked into MM sets because of the brand? And does it make sense? Personally, my favorite traditionally done card arts are from FUXM. Julie Bell's stuff from those sets beats the shit out of the images she produced for 1996 MM imo, aside from a couple (surfer, psylocke). Larkin, Brereton, Lago etc from FUXM those were some masterpieces. Why would that be? Maybe because artists have more time for each when they only have a handful to do instead of 90 lol. How many times do we we have to hear MM artists tell us they only had two days per painting before we stop calling these works "masterpieces" and placing such a crazy premium on them...another great episode
The way they are reprinting the 92 set reminds me of modern age comics they reprint comics from the 1970-1990 and make them into ratio variants and they sell for more then the original comic and that to me don’t make any sense when all these books are accessible to all of us it’s not like these books are out of reach to the collectors . Yes I love MM 92 set it’s hard not to want to be apart of this set and having some in the collection because of the nostalgia aspect they definitely know how to get us but i definitely won’t be buying any big cards either I’ll buy a box possibly 2 and that’s it and trade from there .
