Sublime being discontinued really boggles my mind, because they just came out with the focus. Also I don’t see attention star as anything close to sublime, it’s much snappier, however I’d say a dull phaze AI is closer to the sublime.
Agree. I have both the Sublime and Attention Star in my bag right now. They give me a similar amount of overall hook, but they do it in VERY different ways. The Sublime rolls off the friction more slowly and is more continuous, while the Attention Star isn't crazy angular, but it definitely moves harder off the spot and gets forward much sooner. Essentially if there's enough friction for something bigger with surface to not really work anymore, I can go down to either the Sublime or Attention Star, just depending on what the transition is looking like. And if I am using the Attention Star, once I start seeing it get forward too early and start to leave 10 pins, I can usually soften my speed a little and move a couple boards left with the Sublime and get it to continue around the corner a little more to kick out the corner pins.
Based on the way spi does their website I could not figure out where the sublime would fit. But based on what you've said here, it should work as a step down from the harsh feality pearl... on the smooth sharp side. Hmmm. TY
Thanks for keeping us updated on these things. I can't say I will miss these pieces.
Nah the sublime will be missed
I picked up a Track Stealth Hybrid to replace my Sublime. And so far it’s been a great replacement.
My sublime is my favorite league ball of all time. Especially when you crack the surface a bit. Very blendy but gets off the spot when needed

They still have the TNT infused which is a sym hybrid. So that spot in the bag is still covered.

Sublime is great
@djbelc01 i can do the same thing with my sublime focus. I was standing on 37 at the arrows 23 and breakpoint 12. Thing is a rocket ship
Wow I Absolutely LOVE The Absolute Power….. Now I have to get another before it’s gone
I keep wondering which of these good, shinny balls would still sell if they had Power Edge and not Reacta Gloss on them.

I have my Roto grip TNT and now that I've gotten more games on it and been patient throwing it im soon what it can really do so I'm happy with it
Any suggestions on sublime replacements not made by SPI?
The Radical No Doubt and a polished Motiv Pride Liberty will be fairly close
Stealth Hybrid, try it!
I got the Absolute Power the day it was released and shot 759 with. I still love that ball
I just got the Sublime haven’t drilled it yet.
What does SPI STAND FOR?
Storm Products International (not positive on the last word) - the name for all 3 Storm brands together (Storm, Roto Grip, and 900 Global)
I don't have any SPI balls, but both of these looked really good.
Sublime is a great ball.
From what i saw, the sublime was never a big hit. The summit has come out not too long before. When i saw it my first thought was just throw a summit.
Typical of storm and all companies they bought. Flood the market with options and discontinue ones that don't sell well
I'm critical of Storm but B7 is much worse at this. They produce/discontinue like 8 bowling balls every 60 days.
@@fireteam_ Phil Cardinale says hardly anybody buys a second ball. Everybody wants something new.
@@ripvanrevs it's hard to know what even came out with how many releases B7 has across their brands.
If you're tired of SPI covers dying in 8 months, Scorpion Strike is a good choice. Takes surface very well.
They don’t, but ok
