I was thinking about doing a video on finale and Dorico myself 😂 lots to discuss, it’s 70% of my feed today

I feel you. I was a Sibelius guy and had so much muscle memory and speed built up, but the monthly subscription "I can't own it" thing rubs me the wrong way so I switched to Dorico. Two or three years in, and I still don't find Dorico keyboard shortcuts to be intuitive. Getting better though.

That subscription model kills me, and it was largely why I left the Avid ecosystem behind. I have a fear that the key commands won't line up, but maybe there's a way to import my finale key commands into dorico? If all else fails......I have a Dorico guru already on speed dial LOL

Yeh, it really sucks
Been using finale for 21 years now.
A looot of files to convert.
My workflow is pretty good in finale. It will be very weird to switch to a different app.

I'm hoping that MakeMusic releases some sort of batch file converter between Finale and Dorico to make this process far easier on all of us. If they don't, and someone makes one, I'd buy it.
