Something heavy fell on it while I was working on a fencing project outside of work. . Finger was sideways and the weight fell on the first knuckle joint. It chipped the bone and damaged the tendon. I'm still recovering, but it is much better now. Thanks for asking. God bless.
give the driver some credit for not trying to keep trying to dislodge the trailer. Smart to stop and take the embarrassment. As always great work Ron take care of that finger
Yes, the driver did good. The Saftey department will not be nice about this, points on his record, 30 day probation, it ads up like they’re looking for a reason to be the south end of a goat
Treat people with respect that is the way. It does not matter how it happened. Like you say we all make mistakes. We all miss judge things. When it happens it is always nice to be treated respectfully. Hats off to you sir!
Two things this world needs....MORE people like Ron & Drivers with brains to do the right thing when they make a mistake like this gentleman did. Heck, I once ALMOST walked into the BACK of a parked pickup while texting and walking down the sidewalk (and for the record....no I didn't learn My lesson...I'm just more careful about it now and look up more lol)
Years ago the banks were closing around the country and my wife pulled in to the drive through at our bank and noticed a sign that said the bank was closed. In a bit of a panic while leaving, she turned to sharp and caught the curb and damaged the car underneath the right rear door. If you really didn't look for it you couldn't really tell it was damaged. But of course I made a bigger deal out of it poking fun at her for panicking . Turns out the bank was closed due to a holiday. The next weekend, we were taking a trip out of town to visit my mother-in-law. As we were driving along, this woman passed us. As she did, I noticed her car had extensive damage literally from bumper to bumper on the Right side. I looked over at my wife and said, " Look, she's been to the bank too ". Needless to say, I was in the Dog House for about 2 weeks for that one. Enjoy your video's Ron. Stay blessed.
ONLY 2 Weeks... Your Wife is a Forgiving Soul... Personally, I'd have had you spend those first two weeks excavating UNDER the Dog House to give you the room you'll need for your extended stay deep in the Infernal Pits... 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
It’s certainly a reassuring feeling for these drivers when you show up, Ron. Not only do you get the job done safely, skillfully, and as fast as possible, you’re always kind and never belittle anyone for their mistake. Things happen. Thanks for making the world a better place.
That driver needs to know he won't be the last to hit that pole either. Me, I'm wondering why the poles are there. Looks like there might have been a sign on that patch of grass some time in the past that should be paved over if they have the money to do it.
WOW ! ! ! An easy, light lift and swing to clear the road, driveway, and get the driver on his way. And, noticing the second finger to the left of the ring finger on your right hand. Please be careful and hope the injury is healing well. Stay safe, and I will slow down and move over. God bless.
Another straightforward job for Ron and the 1150R. Always good when nothing but pride is injured. Hope the finger heals soon, Ron. God bless from the UK.
I love your attitude and work Ron 👍 And yes, we all make mistakes. It shouldn’t happen, but sometimes it does. Also, he stopped and called for help instead of making it worse, so all is good 😎
lol In my head, I made this job much harder than it had to be. I was picturing the boom way up and the lines down the sides of the trailer and you kept it simple and got it rigged and done before my way would've even been rigged. And that's why you're the pro! Nice work as always!
Nice to have someone from the local public have your back and asking if you needed any help. Always love watching your video and learning something new every time. It is also very interesting to actually see how it is all done.
Quick and easy. I am sure you like to have something like this occasionally. Looking forward to seeing Ethan tackle a rotator job for you. Stay safe and healthy.
human error happens to everyone. Likely mis-calculated the turn. good to see the trailer survived its morning introduction to a safety pole and driver having good humor about the whole thing. May your finger heal faster than expected Ron..
Glad you had an easy start to your day. May God continue to bless you and your business. I know you give Him all the credit. We have nothing without Him.
Hello Ron, I want to say I enjoy your videos I especially like the in-cab videos it brings back memories of when I went out on tow jobs back in the 70s and 80s you and your crew are so professional respectful and courteous God Bless you and crew and God Bless America
Having served most of my time in fabrication, building things like bollards and whatnot, I've learnt that if you want something to get rammed: paint it bright yellow. 😁
Driver is luck that’s not a DOT certified officer. Not sure if driver is just being playfully forgetful with his dates, but he stated he put the wrong dates on his paperwork. He must be a newer driver
A quick easy job lol. I read previous quistions & your answer. I'll I can say is OUCH! I know how stupid little things happen from personal experience. Last year I was loading a log into the FT loader picket of a small new Holland tractor I think someone moved the bucket up some anyway the log rolled just right smashing the tip of my right index finger between the log & the steel back of the bucket. Broke the tip of the finger at an angle but it healed up. So take care Ron & please BE CARFUL weather at work at home or where ever. Lol. It happens though.
It's nice when you have customers that say call the bill in and we'll get you a check. I'm a semi-retierd carpenter and I have customers who want to pay before the job is done.
The curse of the yellow poles happens to the best of us😊 I admit i hit one a couple times when i first started driving over 30 years ago. I even dropped a trailer off in a ditch when i first started driving. Really it can happen with years of experience as well, but staying alert & paying attention will stop most of it.
RON, Good afternoon. (. 1;57pm ) easy leases job, but what ever did your RIGHT INDEX FINGER, get well soon, as always you never beat up the driver,,,we all make mistakes, stay well, God Bless you all, 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I too was going to ask about your finger Ron. I did my middle finger some years ago. I cut right through the bone when I was using hedgetrimmers. It was my fault entirely. I was too busy looking at the hedge after cutting it, and I went to get hold of the handle part, any my middle finger went straight into the moving blades. Had a heavy bandage like yours and also a metal splint to bend my finger, otherwise, I would have had a stiff finger. Very inappropriate at times if I hadn't got it done properly🤣
Hey Ron !! Looks like you put your finger where it wasn't supposed to be !!!! 🤔🤔 Hope NOT cut too bad ??? Nice recovery as always !! Where's you ""SWAMPER"" Ethan ?? 🤠😎😮👍👍👍👍👍
I hope your finger is going to be okay, it looked kind of rough working with it like that, I take it there is a splint under that wrapping. That driver seemed so embarrassed by what happened, and you're right everyone makes mistakes throughout their life. Bright Blessings.
Bet you're glad for these easier ones when the finger is messed up. Glad he was empty. And yes, you are correct, we all do boo boo's once on awhile. Those who haven't have never pulled a trailer.
Ron, I have an idea. You know when your outriggers come out and other than the yellow and caution written on them you can take the snow marker for sidewalks and springload them to pop up with a small red flag to alert people.
Dude you could make a living off some the of the new drivers we hired this year… I drive a cement mixer and I swear it’s something every single week with these guys.. Wrecked loads, running over shite and wrecking tires.Getting stuck when there was no earthly reason for it..Lawn jobs.. hitting Mail boxes… Trees… Parked Cars ..the problem is we can’t find anyone and we pay really good money and we have excellent insurance and it’s fully paid by the company ..we are Union… and have a nice pension Although,,I always worry about that one ..Still no one wants to work so we have to settle for guys I wouldn’t trust with a mop.. Some of these guys can’t even read our giant map of the area with all the don’t go places marked on it.. So they end up using Phone GPS ..I’m waiting for the the day they take out a bridge
Working with a dodgy finger is such fun isn’t it! Some years ago I dislocated my ring finger, boy did it hurt after I put it back into its joint. To this day it’s never returned to fully straight lol
Don't give the driver a hard time. Anyone who's never hit a gatepost is either lying, or just hasn't hit one yet! Last time I did it I was in a rental van. I thought I saw my deposit disappear before my eyes, until I realised someone had already done exactly the same thing, in exactly the same place, and they'd marked it on the checkout sheet. When I took the van back, they asked if it was a new dent, I showed them the sheet and got away with it!
I was going to ask about your finger but I read the post already. I hope it is doing better. Yea not fun I broke my little finger and not fun. God bless and be careful.
rotators sure are nice i don't tow for hire have a old Holmes 500 which has as you probably know twin booms and they swing out for side lifting but you have to be careful and make sure you swing out other one for leverage but you can do a lot with it.
I had just bought my van (new to me, but nearly 10 years old and just shy of 100k miles on the clock when I got it)... Driving it to work, can't remember exactly why, going into the multi-storey car park, thinking I'll go down the stairs "like usual", but looked at the amount of cars, I change my mind and turn sharp left to go up instead of down. Not realizing I'm very close to the "cages" for the bike-parking, and I scrape the whole side of the van against the darned cage. It wasn't completely undamaged before, but even worse now! Oh well, stuff happens. I dont think it was me instigating that but they now have some soft padding on all the corners of the metal-work in the garage.
What happened to your finger Mr. Ron, if u don’t mind me asking?
Something heavy fell on it while I was working on a fencing project outside of work. . Finger was sideways and the weight fell on the first knuckle joint. It chipped the bone and damaged the tendon. I'm still recovering, but it is much better now. Thanks for asking. God bless.
was thinking the same he works with so much heavy iron watch it be something silly like tin of beans fell on it
@@RonPratt things happen. Glad to hear, your recovering!
Ouch... At least you can still (mostly) work...
I was wondering the same... Glad its on the mend.
give the driver some credit for not trying to keep trying to dislodge the trailer. Smart to stop and take the embarrassment. As always great work Ron take care of that finger
Yes, the driver did good. The Saftey department will not be nice about this, points on his record, 30 day probation, it ads up like they’re looking for a reason to be the south end of a goat
"It happens, we all make mistakes."
This is the sign of a good father, and a good man in general.
Keep up the good work, Mr. Pratt, sir.
Treat people with respect that is the way. It does not matter how it happened. Like you say we all make mistakes. We all miss judge things. When it happens it is always nice to be treated respectfully. Hats off to you sir!

Great work as usual
*Seriously, id feel so relieved if i saw Ron to help me get out of a pickle lol*
I agree with you by 100% 👍
That driver needs to know he won't be the last to hit that pole either.

Quick job. Saw the bandage on your finger, hope it is on the mend.
Ron you never cease to amaze me how you can just get a job done so quick God bless you and have a great day
Mr Pratt Sir, I hope your finger is doing better by now. Thanks for the video. Blessings to you and the family.
lol In my head, I made this job much harder than it had to be. I was picturing the boom way up and the lines down the sides of the trailer and you kept it simple and got it rigged and done before my way would've even been rigged.

Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Nice to have someone from the local public have your back and asking if you needed any help. Always love watching your video and learning something new every time. It is also very interesting to actually see how it is all done.
Thank You Ron for sharing all youre videos with me from Kentucky
Fantastic job Ron. Have a great day my friend ❤🙂⚘, and God Bless.
Quick and easy. I am sure you like to have something like this occasionally. Looking forward to seeing Ethan tackle a rotator job for you. Stay safe and healthy.
Ron, I read through the comments before asking "What happened to your finger?"
Wishing you a speedy recovery. God bless.
human error happens to everyone. Likely mis-calculated the turn. good to see the trailer survived its morning introduction to a safety pole and driver having good humor about the whole thing. May your finger heal faster than expected Ron..
You made that look so easy. Read about your finger, hope it heal quickly. Stay safe out there. God bless

Good little morning work-out
Man I just love your humility and professionalism.
Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day
A quick hook swing and book nice job
Nice n easy Ron 👍
One Hell of a Band Aid on your Finger.😧
I have heard of the curse of the pole many times, but really it is the curse of the blind driver!
Some drivers don't know how far to stay from the side of the road if there's no white line.
And some drivers forget they’re pulling a trailer.
Driver is luck that’s not a DOT certified officer. Not sure if driver is just being playfully forgetful with his dates, but he stated he put the wrong dates on his paperwork.
He must be a newer driver
Quick and easy morning workout. Good to hear that you're on the mend.
You make it look easy Mr. Pratt.
No matter the type job Ron is called to do, simple or complex, the work is always interesting and instructive.
70,000 pounds of business right there. Love the Rotator! Love you too, Ron!

Mr ron you are in inspiration I love watching your videos I have learned a lot from watching keep up the amazing work sir and stay safe out there
Well, Ron, you make it look so “easy peasy”..Another great start to the day. Stay safe with your finger . Best Wishes from the UK.
Good morning, Mr. Ron and Tator
Simple mistake that takes like #1 Ron to get them out of a situation. Good video
Great easy job done Ron.
It's nice when you have customers that say call the bill in and we'll get you a check. I'm a semi-retierd carpenter and I have customers who want to pay before the job is done.

Have a great Wednesday!
RON, Good afternoon. (. 1;57pm ) easy leases job, but what ever did your RIGHT INDEX FINGER, get well soon, as always you never beat up the driver,,,we all make mistakes, stay well,
God Bless you all, 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love seeing a video on a Wednesday
Great job Ron, God bless
Looks like Mrs. Pratt saw that finger one too many times!
Good job Ron.
another excellent video... hope your doing well and your family and grand children to and God Bless
Whatever you did to your finger looks to have been pretty bad. I pray that whatever you did heals quickly for you. Stay safe and God bless.
Amazing video and working out here, stay safe out there Ron
Great job as always on a safe recovery.
But it looks like you put your R index were it did not like to be.
you are so nice to people don't make them feel bad everybody makes a mistake
Great job, Ron. Have to watch out for the yellow poles and keep your fingers out of the way.
You make it look easy! Great Job Sir!

Good job Ron getting him off the pole!
Nice job 👌 you know how to get it done.Stay safe and blessed 🙏❤️
Yeouch! RIP fingy. I love the cop's cute little hat. I'd be obliged to mess with him and tell him I've got a song for him and turn on YMCA.
I hope your finger is going to be okay, it looked kind of rough working with it like that, I take it there is a splint under that wrapping.
That driver seemed so embarrassed by what happened, and you're right everyone makes mistakes throughout their life.
Bright Blessings.
Easy lift nice morning "take easy make nice". is my motto
Thank you for the mid week treat. God bless.
Ron, oops. I've seen that before myself! It happens, then there's Ron to straighten it all out !! GOD bless....
Another quick and easy job by Ron and the rotator 👍 ( wait , gas there is 3.399 a gallon ? 😳 )
Great job it took you long set up then doing the job I love your videos
Bet you're glad for these easier ones when the finger is messed up. Glad he was empty. And yes, you are correct, we all do boo boo's once on awhile. Those who haven't have never pulled a trailer.
You always do a great job
Nothing like a quick morning lift to warm the fluids.
Even with a messed up finger you still got the job done pretty quick
Ron, I have an idea. You know when your outriggers come out and other than the yellow and caution written on them you can take the snow marker for sidewalks and springload them to pop up with a small red flag to alert people.
GOOD JOB, KEEP SAFE
Awesome recovery despite injured finger
Well done ron..you are The best..😃😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Well, another Wednesday surprise video! Nice lift, Ron. You need a Band-Aid that says, "Pratt Boo-boo."
Awesome job as always brother
Working with a dodgy finger is such fun isn’t it! Some years ago I dislocated my ring finger, boy did it hurt after I put it back into its joint. To this day it’s never returned to fully straight lol
WAIT a min !!! This is Wednesday LOL
I feel bad about the Finger incident, Hope for rightful Healing.
Thanks Much.

Love your videos

Good thing it was empty. Loaded would of made it a little difficult. Great job as always Ron. God bless

Quick job 👍 wow 3.59 gas price over there, 4.30 around these parts were I'm at.
Nice job Ron! Hope you had your hard hat n safety glasses on when you mashed ur finger! Be safe! 🤟🤟
