Yes aleksander is an amazing character, I actually like show darkling a lot more than book darkling, though darkling in the books is a super interesting character as well, he was the best character in the original grishaverse trilogy in my opinion

Not really. The crows are equally popular. The book fandom literally worships the crows. The crows storyline will be more solid once S2 comes out, considering this was just a prequel.

I love Darkling alot and specially some of his lines in the books but if u talk about books then according to me only crows version was well written as compared to it's all other parts. I'm curious about how all of this could turn out. The Darkling in Netflix is more human than the one on the books, more open (he said his name to Alina way earlier), and slightly more reasonable. With that, and the fact that they could put the Six of Crows' drug deal in the plot, there are chances that we could see new things. Like, Kirigan calling a truce with Alina to manage the jurda parem problem.

He's the perfectiest villain I've ever seen, when the shadow rises behind him and makes contrast with his skin and black eyes aff... I couldn't get angry with him, he's so beautiful! Also his clothes are fire, I love it, he's the best from Shadow and Bone.

He's needy and whiny because he cared about his friend whom he grew up with as an orphan? He literally died several times in the season just to see her again. Mean while kirigan did what?
@@narutotrickzxtv3D He gave rights to the Grishas, rescued Alina multiple times, give her a way to learn how to use her power safely, got her out of the army where she was miserable and brought her to her people (where she made friends), give her a life purpose, a roof over her head and unconditional love (seeing how he does in the next books, lemme tell you that Mal isn’t great at loyalty or unconditional love 🥴)
HappyJellyCatSquid all of that is pretty irrelevant considering he was part of the cause of half those problems and only did everything else to further his own goals and ambitions, had Alina had been anyone else she would have lived and died as nothing more then some underling for his cause, he wouldn't have given her a second thought or purpose at life he loved what she could do and how he could use her not her as an individual person and that's what separates Mail from Kirigan he cares about Alina regardless of who or what she is and or can do.

They’re in love now, that’s it and I have no respect nor care for this petty hierarchy of “this ship is better because his reasons to fall in love with her were puuure”. Feelings don’t loose importance or credibility because you like more how they came about. As for this whole “The Darkling doesn’t love Alina, only her power” why you didn’t tell me you were the holy spirit and could get into people’s head to decipher their truest feelings. So, what proof do you have that your hypothesis is better than others ?
And on top of that, how does that invalidate the fact that Mal is needy and whiny ? Because I still find him just as annoying as before.

I'm curious about how all of this could turn out. The Darkling in Netflix is more human than the one on the books, more open (he said his name to Alina way earlier), and slightly more reasonable. With that, and the fact that they could put the Six of Crows' drug deal in the plot, there are chances that we could see new things. Like, Kirigan calling a truce with Alina to manage the jurda parem problem.
