Thanks for the video! It amazing what moving livestock does to your property. It makes a big difference for sure. It looks green there. I know I like the rains because it makes the plants grow great. It was getting a little dry here but we got a little bit over 2 inches of rain last night. We have been moving our cattle every other day since our paddocks are long and narrow. Our paddocks right now about 40 feet wide by 650 feet length. I’m hoping to put all our animals together soon. My wife wants the lambs get bigger though. The nice thing about having them separated I have my sheep mowing my lawn since the cattle has a deeper foot print in the ground. I learned that this spring. We got 2-3 inches over night, and they made the lawn very rough. I’ve been rotational grazing my lawn since 2020, and it looks awesome compared to where I’m grazing the cattle now. My biggest problem is water. I need to make water points along my fence to the back of my property.
Any ag folks complaining about precipitation are the ones without any cover crop/ protection for their soil, and more and more topsoil is likely washing away with every rain. Yeah, rain is a problem when you till away your soil's ability to retain water.
Your cattle and sheep are pleasantly plump, great job managing your soils, plants, and critters!
Thank you
👍

Once you have the water sorted out, the rest will be a cinch
I love the sound of a lost lamb. It is pitiful. Mom is not worried.
She's a good mamma
Some rain gets the land regenerating even faster.
