What gets me is how they lost Game 7 was the mirror image of how they won Game 7 in 2011. They got beat up by the Blues the same way they beat up the Canucks. By the third period the Bruins didn't want to be hit anymore, it was surreal.
Wow, I actually teared up at the end around the same time Doc said he loves this sport and his voice cracked. Seeing the respect between these teams reminded me of the old days and how long it's been since I last skated, there's nothin like it. Good luck to Columbus in the future, you're still young but seem to be making the right moves
Im a diehard bruins fan I watch all 82 for many many years now definitely a good series fun at times pissed off at times .I have a new appreciation for the fan base of the jackets as some of you may not know the game a awful lot you guys are pretty loud and i love the standing at the games
BostonBruinsFan30 a lot of people watch basketball, although I don’t watch it, if the Celtics win, all Boston teams could have won a championship this year.
Good Series, Columbus. Major accomplishment Sweeping the President’s Trophy Winners. Nothing came easy in This Series. Best of Luck in 2020, Blue Jackets!
I’m a Boston fan, but I love the Columbus crowd here. Instead of booing their team for losing and booing us, they give their team a standing ovation and congratulate them for getting as far as they did, upsetting tampa bay, all that. Just a great crowd
Just as I said. Series ended Monday. You could just feel it. I've watched nearly every Bruins game since Patrice was a rookie and Andrew Raycroft was our starter. This team this year, is one of the most complete Bruins teams I've ever watched.
Bruins fan here. Bobrovsky should be extremely proud of his performance in this game. He stood on his head making saves. It was a challenging series but obviously I'm glad the B's came out on top.
He played well but mostly in the first few games. The last three games he gave up 4, 4, and 3 and lost all 3 games. Tuuk outplayed him when he needed to. Hope he continues with his 'focused-like-a-laser' play. . .
Yet another example that Rask is phenomenal.....right up until you need him the most, we should’ve won the cup that year but, injuries to key guys and a poor game 7 by everyone on the B’s including rask
Dude, there was the whole intermission to evaluate him. He would've missed at least 2 shifts if it happened mid- period. It was a bad hit and McAvoy will be punished. Also, the rule is either 2 minutes or a misconduct; I don't think it was worthy of him getting kicked out, but there should be an option for a 5 minute major.
@@andrewgibby5208 Idk about that, watch it again, Krug is getting spun around by another guy as puck slides by him but Krug stick wasn't on ice it was up from other guy then bang squashed in head, but anyway at least you can see that it is just as bad
Definitely not worse than Kukan's cheap shot on Backes, and he only got a minor penalty, ended up scoring the 3-3 goal in the next game he "should have" been suspended for. Hope DOPS is consistent and don't suspend McAvoy, but you never know with them. Wouldn't surprised to see a game.
@@ericforsyth I agree with that too, anyone that thinks refs helped Bruins more than CBJ is just wrong and salty, also, I think with it only being a minor they won't punish him further, hopefully at least
@@aldoparziale2631: He's having a hearing, so that hope is probably out the window now. Let's see how much DOPS and Parros want to embarrass themselves. Anything more than a game would be a travesty.
Not to mention Krug took 3 headshots in the game with no call. You could argue that the second one Krug leaned but the other 2 are worthy of a penalty.
I normally dont like getting ahead of myself or get too confident, and I realize anything can happen in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, But With that being said The Bruins are winning the Cup this year.
Great series...by game 6 Columbus was seriously outskilled. They went far with grit, Panarin and Jenner seemed to be the only guys who can do anything with the puck. Once Bs top two lines were clicking they had no answer and the 3rd/4th lines of the Bs will grind all night. Defensively I thought Jones was better than this he may be a bit overrated Carlo and Charlie and Krug are better...and goalies well 40 was amazing and Bobsky not so much
Also torts guaranteed to be back in boston for a game 7 ...sorry torts no game 7 but if you go online now I'm sure you can score a ticket for game 1 of the East finals game 1 in boston vs the hurricanes
Columbus seemed to gas out in the third periods from all the hitting they were doing. They wasted energy and put themselves out of position on several occasions, Josh Anderson especially. The Bruins took their best shot and took over in the third period in the last three games
Yup. They had double the hits than the Bruins did during the game but as you can tell that doesnt matter. The Bruins play so well because they measure their physicality. They dont hit just to hit they hit to make a play. Obviously torts wanted them to be more physical so thats probably why they were playing that way but you can tell it gassed them out. Their last 3 games for the most part were flat footed. All they could do was hit.
Kukan on backes was probably worse because he actually stuck his elbow out at backes head and no one said a word about it no way nhl can suspend Charles if kukan got no suspension. But the nhl seems to do whatever they want different calls from game to game no consistency and that's a joke
Kukan on Backes was worse, And I would just love to know the reasoning why McAvoy has a hearing today but Kukan only got a 2 min minor and that was the end of it. Bruins continue to overcome the opposing team, The stupid refs, and all the huge momentum swing calls going against them. This team is resilient.
What game was that hit in? I'd like to see it. I genuinely do not understand why everyone is up in arms about McAvoy's hit. If Josh Anderson has his head up, do people still feel the same way about the hit as they do now?
@@Bdog413 It was in game 4, it shouldnt be hard to find, I've seen the highlight for the hit all over twitter. It was brutal and Im at a complete loss as to why that elbow is ignored while McAvoy is being crucified. At least McAvoy tried to tuck in his arms to make a clean hit while Kukan maliciously elbowed Backes square in the face at 100 mph.
I was at this game, as a relocated bostonian in columbus, and I just remember the people around me getting so frustrated with the way the blue jackets were more interested in trying to make hits rather than scoring goals. It was pretty funny to me but it really did seem like the jackets were more intent on hitting the bruins than winning the game with the season on the line
That was the Bruins in the 1970's...more concerned with hits than goals. The 79 Bruins had Jonathan, Wensink, O'Reilly and Millbury....any one of those guys is your cement head but FOUR? Imagine Georges Laraque, Colton Orr, Donald Brashear and Shawn Thornton on the same team
Did anyone hear Keith Jones post game say that if it were Boston to lose in game 6 there's no way the fans would have congratulated them and all would have left. Someone sounds a little sour to see them move on cause we all know that's bullshit.
Honestly if Columbus loses their goaltender I wouldn't be surprised. Torts and Jackets management treated him like shit. People thought he was gonna be gone at the deadline
Kind of like when the puck went out of bounds and nobody saw it, then it ended up in the Bruins net. So, now we have a brand new trivia question. What NHL goalie has a 1 goal shutout to his credit?
Welp, every goalie is going to look terrible the next 2 rounds now that we had to solve Bobby - Holy hell he was playing his ass off. Bruins had to make crazy plays to get anything in. A few upgrades at D and CBJ will be contending for the cup next year if Bobby keeps that kinda play up.
Blue Jackets just couldn't score. Sure, they had a lot of shots hit the post, but they looked really unorganized and jumpy all game. I wanted them to win, but the Bruins deserved it.
How in the 3 rings of hell do you beat tampa BUT DON'T BEAT THE 2ND PLACER XD *that was a great game tho i enjoyed every game even tho we lost some XD*
