Thank you so much, Kevin!! I would like to make longer painting videos from time to time, hoping that I will have more footage next month :D I am determined to paint despite the 40ºC summer, hahaha.
Lightfastness in watercolor is really a nightmare… Many brand say that they ARE the best in UV resistance and guarantee the longevity of their pigments, but it’s not totally true (I mean, maybe reds are but not their blues). So I would greatly appreciate a documented video of your “tested-in-real-live” colors because, at the moment, it’s impossible for me to test several brands across their entire color spectrum. Thank you so much for your hard research and excitedly awaiting the results of your video!!!! Greetings and good summer ^^!!
Yes, it is very unfair that the brands will say that a color is excellent lightfastness and will fade in just a few months... It's so frustrating haha. This is why making our own tests is the most reliable method. I have also learned not to worry too much about it, it´s true that testing is in very harsh conditions and most paintings won't be displayed in direct sunlight. But it's good to know how to give the best advice for conservation to your clients if your are selling original work, and having the peace of mind that you used the most lightfast colors you could is also a relief. I will make a video about the tests probably this month :) Thank you so much for the feedback!! And you too have a great summer! :)
@@CocoGlez Absolutely excited to see the results! I even fixed a piece of paper to the window to see how the pigments reacted to direct sunlight... and almost none passed the test ;___; Muchos ánimos Coco!! Espero que los tuyos resistan super bien!!!👍
Hi Cathrina! Thank you for your encouraging message :). We are all in that watercolor improvement journey, one day at a time. It's amazing that there is always so much to learn, and so many techniques to try and combine ^^ Best of luck in yours!
Fuair mé do chainéal díreach ó mo leathanach molta agus tá do ghuth chomh suaimhneach! go raibh maith agat as do phictiúir a roinnt! níl ach síntiúsóir nua faighte agat😍🤗
Why do you need one pallet? That's very close minded of you, and it really seems like your just wasting your time. Most great artists have a lot of tools anyway, more then one pallet.
this painting gave such peaceful vibes 😊
So happy to hear!! :D
You did a great job with this piece! Thank you for sharing your art journey with us!💞

Coco, the video was so soothing. It was really fun just watching you paint, and the painting turned out so beautifully .
