One underrated unit this match was Will's officer. I think a few battles went his way because he was spamming the "Inspire combatants" which seems to apply to all units and guves 20% acc and 25% rof. I think you mistook this for the p4 vet 1. Officer vet 3 also reduces damage of units/ bunkers in friendly territory, so maybe that, combined with bulwark is why the bombing runs didn't knock out much. Officer survived by a pixel against Sherman's several times and I think it really helped will out.
Yep, it's easy to overlook, but the vetted p4 with officer buffs and its ability allows it to shoot twice as fast as the Sherman. The 15%DR from the bunker was also enough to make each of the P4 tanking one to two more shots. It would be costly diving into that.
@WilllTHENOOBz is that from the command bunker? I noticed that shield icon but wasn't sure what it was. Now we just need to see a vet3 P4 in hull down, using it's vet 1 and the officer ability at the same time. I want to see a 75mm machinegun! Also, have you ever tested out the officer supervise on a pak bunker? Apparently it ups the fire rate by 40%! One day I dream of seeing a team synergise this with the Luftwaffe 88 emplacement 😮
Those AT bunkers have absurd range. Game doesnt even let you zoom out far enough to see em... Also brutal bounces for USF from it's only "tank destroyer", entirely reliant on HVAP rounds.
If you mean the allied push on the panthers at 36:30, I didn't see any bounces there. The reason the lower hp panther didn't die was because the hellcats auto-targeted the healthier one after the panthers left the smoke.
The bounces on Brumbar and Panther by Allied tank destroyers is so frustrating. I would trade Hellcat speed for range and pen buff. It is very difficult to successfully tank flank in this game.
The CoH2 dynamic of Allies = paper armour but longer range TDs Axis = more powerful tanks that get outranged Was such a good meta. Not sure why that was messed with.
Well damn that was a great game for the axis! The allies ending up headbutting without flanking ever seemed like they just tried the classic USF tank swarm that use to work. Great comments on the Officer ability by Jackobrien, seemed like it definitely was the clutch for the axis line to not fall entirely under pressure. And man those panthers vet3 now I want one too xD Soo good!
The vespe probably is. Maybe needs its two abilities to share a cooldown. The panther used to be. Now they repair a little less than 1 AT gun or hellcat shot over 45s
Anyone got some tips for coming back to game? Played for quite some time on release but stopped eventually. Now I want to come back. Always played DAK and want to continue on that(3v3/4v4).
very strange match, USF despite having a counter build order twice in a match, failed to utilize the advantage. there was a moment where they could push forward as double force and win it, but after they retreated, I didn't much see an attempt to retry
This is the game's Tournament Caster mode, you have several options of display if you click on the HUD swap icon. The Tourny Caster mode is the little award cup if you can spot it in the stream ;)
So weird to see coastal reserves of all commanders floating munitions of all things as if it doesnt have very useful munition intensive abilities like artillery overwatch or the discount on mines if you go for that

Remember you can see the map, the players not, the only chance would be a recon flight/Scout flare, but its deam much to micro, and your plane/squad needs to get into position first... 38:08 what do you get out of all that Ammo if you drop it on the bunkers? nothing or just one bunker. Now look at the axi Arty... You can not build AT guns as USF, Axis just need one mentaly ill always into fire running Arty officer or a Wespe ora Nebel to counter it... Pick what ever you want or two of them and you are 100% countered... Great cast from you anyway Tight
can't talk about RNG, but I can straight point out the fact to your second statement that the opposite commentary would be "I hate coh3 because of braindead 1 click 2 win abilities" if everything would be done according to you. compromise would be (as the path already were made by game design) is to combine your forces and strike, while paid ability has granted you an opening - allied players are failed first to push hard enough and secondly, they failed to realise (despite having recon ability advantages) that second combined assault in a set condition of 2v1 would be possible! there were so many mistakes, that allies could use of! blue axis player went late game with pure AI units and he was not punished! - what if both allied players actually focused on the eliminating blue axis player that almost had no AT power?? but Wespe self-aiming ability is just... is it really fair?

the Bunker Spamming Battle Group with that super Anonying artillery Officer just killed the Game for me. Or made me Chance to axis. I dont want to say i win every Game with them but they feel much less Micro and Hard to play. And da cheese is real With them
Another reminder why I prefer CoH2. US not having a proper heavy AT counter is absurd. Not having default arty is absurd. Amount of health on all these axis units, tanks, bunkers, and inf, is absurd. Why are Panthers tanking 6 shots even without bounces? Why do P4s practically 2 shot riflemen, but 4 Sherman's shoot a Pgren and it loses 2 models. So many direct shots on Wehrmacht infantry and it feels like it always does health damage, not model drops. I just hate the feel of all the combat.
No my friend, they just made usf paper AGAIN. I hate coh2 usf desgin because all they got is rifles, paper tanks and no stock arty. And guess what? They still have No arty options in coh3.. Atleast coh3 dont have bs units like elefant.

USF players constantly either overextending or getting cold feet and not committing when it would count.

Super painful to watch these brain dead plays from US players, especially the red player going head to head against AT bunkers,ATs and p4s

Two usf and the 2 commanders which make usf trash tier. Usf without arty is too easy to check mate, just build at guns and bunkers.
