I couldn't see, but did they off camera remove the central nerve of each filler leaf? Or did they leave it attached for the addictive nicotine to get the noobs hooked? I understand it is a marketing angle most factories take to sell more in the long run.
Usually a prep crew frog-legs the leaf which takes most of the center vein out leaving about 1/4 to hold the leaf so it will fold or roll. The ladies sweeping the scraps work for swisher sweet company...not really, but that is where the short filler comes from, the scraps.
