Nice work Rory, especially on the fly! It's great to see the splendid trout fishing that Tassie has to offer (even when it's cold). It does make me a bit homesick to be away from Tas and watching these vids from afar, but it certainly keeps me excited for the fishing to be had when I return! Thanks for sharing your adventures, I have many of them to catch up on obviously :) Cheers mate. 👍
Thanks mate, I'm glad you've been enjoying them. The trout fishing in Tassie has taken quite a hit in the last 12 months, but there are still plenty of places to catch a fish. I'll try and do some videos to show where the fish are still biting over the next few months
My rod, reel, and fly line I've bought from Blue Peaks Outdoors in Devonport, but that shop has closed down recently. Tackle World Burnie has a great fly selection, and I always stop in at Essential Fly Fisher in Launceston if I'm over that way.
Damn nice fish mate. I'm a Vic fella, can you tell me where you were? Looks a nice part of the bush, very "Trouty". That board walk, is it accessible all times? Great little critter.
Thanks mate, it's a great spot near Waratah in the north-west. The boardwalk is accessible at all times, but you can only catch a bus to it during the day. Outside of the bus schedule, you can drive in. It's at Ronny Creek in Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park

They are very nice fish. Congratulations.
Thanks, Keith. Most of the fish in there are really high quality
Another great vid Rory. You worked hard but it paid off in the end. Beautiful fish, and stunning scenery. Love that style of fishing mate
Thanks Jase, it's a great spot. The next couple of months will be great for fly fishing
I must get out amongst it 😊
Great start for the season Rory. I love these episodes at Talbots. I wish I had water like that near where I live . Cheers
Thanks Peter. I'm lucky to live only 45 minutes away
Wow😮
where abouts do you get all your gear from? rods, flies, leader etc. Awesome fish btw😀

What Lake is that Rory?
he aint going to tell you, who would?
Its pretty obvious if you look through the vids and unfortunately people keep advertising it. Especially this season..
@@whiteman2371 Probably because the fishing in the rivers is really bad this year since IFS refuse to stock them and they've been hammered by shags.
