Lr Peers That's why there wasn't a bunch of overweight people, like there is today. I saw a humorous video a few weeks ago. It was an oldies tour I believe, but anyway there were 100's of young People attending. I can't remember what the song was, but of course it was a dance to song, like our music was then. The People in my age group, the baby boomer crowd, knew exactly how to move to the music, but when the song started, the younger People started swaying back and forth, with their arms in the air, like they do nowadays, and didn't have a clue how to get into the rhythm of the music, so they stopped their swaying and put their arms down.
I love both tavaras and the bee gee's. Both groups are talented I really couldn't say I liked one more than the other I grew up listening to both bands dancing to both bands it's just such a crying shame 3 of the bee gee's have past away I honestly think either alive or dead they will still be listened to no matter what. I loved going to nightclubs and dancing I really don't think disco music will ever die out for people who lived and loved the music.

Tavares was the best R&B group EVER, in my opinion. They all could sing...and each did lead vocals at one time or another. No other group in history was blessed with such vocal talent!!! And they always had great writing too!!!

Bring back class and style, in Latin America this is not a fad its a culture that never goes away, our grandma's dance to salsa and merengue, cumbia and many other rhythms. Its romantic and nice cause you get to hold hands with your girl and spin her around and hold her waist in an elegant and stylish way. I wish this music had never gone away here in the USA.

Got to know Tavares very well in the 70`s when they were touring in the UK. They were the best group of their time. Fabulous, it takes me back and I wish we could get his music back. Chubby was always favourite with me although I loved them all
