Several years ago I went to Monza with a broken foot. Went over 5km on saturday with cruches from train station to the track and nobody wanted to pick me up and I missed the quali. Did I cry about, NO and Twitter would be the last place for it. My arms gained 2x strenght and endurance, would do it again 5/5.

It's a shame to see such a great and historical track fall victim of bad organisation and obnoxious fans. I hope one day we'll be able to bring the Italian Grand Prix back to the beauty and glory it deserves, and then we will all get drunk together, no matter who we support

@@121alastair probably true to some extent, but it's something that depends from place, age, social extraction etc. Living in a big city since I was born, it's actually kinda difficult to spot that kind of tendency (I mean sure you've got tons of people getting drunk but it's somehow normal for a big multicultural city), but we've got some stereotypes regarding alcohol abuse in some parts of Italy

I was there and I can confirm that the Ferrari fans were going crazy at Red bull. Especially after qualifying. But honestly it just made Verstappen's win that much more satisfying

You’re forgetting that there was plenty of time to unlap the cars, but Toto was stalking Masi at that moment trying to prevent it from happening. Just like in Silverstone when Toto was sending emails when Lewis pushed Max in the wall. I think Masi had enough of Toto, that’s why he said “it’s called racing” best mic drop ever Imo.
I was also a bit suspicious in 2021 when the Belgian GP was held for exactly 2 laps behind the safety car instead of being cancelled due to heavy rain. That's just enough laps to give drivers 50% instead of 0% of the points (awarded based on their qualifying position, since no overtaking under the safety car) & for Verstappen to overtake Hamilton in the WDC standings

F1 should do a rule that in the last 1O laps if there’s a SC that will take a long time to go away, red flag it and do a standing start . Everyone with new tires and let the best driver / car win... but this is too good and too easy so they will not introduce this .
