Nice to see a group of guys young and old enjoying each others company. I first hunted 1968, with family and friends. One old timer was a WW1 veteran, he would tell us stories of hunting bear back in his day. i miss those guys and great times... fond memories

I know of a group of guys similar to yours they come up to potter every year and push the entire mountain off 1 week before deer season,then they complain about Sunday hunting ruining deer season

Great video guys. Bear season was screwy for the crew I hunt with. Cut a lot of old tracks but nothing that said get on me. I did get on a bear drive off governors road in black mo but when I saw the bear I only saw orange in the scope and didn’t shoot. They shot at the sucker 7 times and they all missed

I hunt Sullivan and Lycoming Counties for bear. I hunt alone, no drives. Killed one in 80, 81 and 83. Missed the next 20 years of bear hunting as the USN took all my time. I don't know if I would shoot another one. Find out if I see one again.
the guy who yelled has no idea that you did him a favor. Our group is only 4 guys, not much for driving. But I know that there's two large crews who drive the area we hunt every year. After many years I more or less know their routine, so we set up as point and let the large crews push thru us. It's worked out for us twice in 10 years and beats me crawling thru laurel and rhododendron thickets. If you're going to hunt public land you need to learn how to let the actions of other hunters work for you.
Agree 100%. Our crew has been responsible for several others getting bears over the years. It is common to hear shots from others while doing drives. Especially if a bear pushes left or right of drivers. Older bears slip away from us this way. We confirmed a cinnamon bear was killed by another a few years ago after it got by us. I learned this from a local taxidermist. Thanks for watching!

What kind of gun are you using the first day?
I was using a Ruger American Ranch in 450 bushmaster. One of my favorites!

What camera do you guys use for your vidoes?
Panasonic Lumix. Good camera but not water proof. That is our only complaint.

Your young guys might think you see a lot of deer but in reality you don’t on state ground. The deer population is pathetic on state ground.
