I've just signed up for 1 year subscription, and I already love what I'm finding on your website. Packed full of goodies! I feel very inspired, I'm going to start with the rustic door project at the weekend. I lost my mum a month before Christmas and plan to use the projects to work through the grief. She was pretty talented herself in arts and crafts

Nice work Colin. You are a wonderful teacher. PastelMal seems to be the choice for finer paintings. It would be interesting for you to paint the same subject on the two different paper types--Fabriano and PastelMal.

Love this lady!!! Collin is Hahnemuhle Ingres paper as good as the Ingres you use? I got some on sale at my art shop, as well as a pack of velour and pastel fix by them.. I got the Faber Castell pastel pencils 60 count and carbothello 60 count for christmas. Watching you to see where and how I start using them. Just love your work! and the Ingres is much more affordable .
becky quick I haven’t used those papers as I just stick to the Ingres and Pastelmat. Pastelmat is harder to use than Ingres although it does produce a more professional finish. Watch out for a FULL LENGTH time lapse clip of this Victorian lady coming on our TH-cam site very soon.

Hello my friend I just bought myself some ingres paper and a really good amount of stabilo carbothello pastel pencils and when I try to draw a realistic animal I always get myself some lines or squers because of the paper's kind and I do not want those on my draeings can you give me any tips on to not having those on my drawing and I can buy myself pastel mat because my local art store doesnt have it and I dont feel like ordering pastelmat from the web or the art store can you have me with those anoying lines the ingres paper can have?
vaggosTHE gamer The tooth of the paper can be covered quite well if sufficient base colors are applied, alternatively the reverse side of the Ingres paper does not have such a prominent tooth, I hope this helps.
