    Fast Willie Parker, a Steeler legend! Undrafted burst of energy, with a couple legendary postseason performances. It is truly amazing to be a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. With so many awesome backs, players & moments.. I do not think I will ever run out of content or ideas.

    It always seemed like, someone was somewhere in the stadium, with a remote control turning the speed dial up & up & up! He was so fast, it was like he had 2 speeds, not moving at all & full speed, his acceleration was that fast! Great job Yinzburgh 👍🏻! 🖤🏈💛

    What a great duo we had. I had my personal nickname for Bettis and Parker. Going off the 70 Pirate slogan Lumber and Lightning, Bettis laid the lumber, Parker added the Lightning. Unstoppable duo.

    I was just a kid when Willie was on the team. I would brag to my friends that my team had the best RB in the league without really knowing what I was talking about. Now that I'm older and I watch these videos I can have a real appreciation for just how good he actually was. I'll always remember his super bowl run because my mom was jumping up and down screaming "yes! run Willie run dammit run!"

    Willie Parker was the epitome of a running back he didn't have the weight that are running back should have, but he had the Speed when the hole opened up if you blink you already missed it because he was already in the end zone!❤

    There was a local guy who had a website about Steeler games. He was the one who first wrote ‘FWP’ that I saw. He didn’t say he came up with it because that was willies nickname. But he was the one who made it a normal thing. To the point that people never called him Willie. They called him fast Willie Parker.

    Ha that first clip was from a weird game. The Steelers had their playoff position locked up in Week 17, the Bills needed to win to make the playoffs. Some guys sat, others went out as the game went along. Unfortunately for the Bills the backups who came in included Willie Parker and James Harrison, who both dominated the Bills en route to a Steelers win. Cowher looked apologetic on the sideline the whole second half, but what was he going to do when his backups were trouncing their starters?

    I’ll say this, FWP got every single bit of effort outta his career. And le’veon bell got about 35% outta his career. Makes ya root for a guy like FWP

    • @JoshuaLaGuardia-uw6jk
      @JoshuaLaGuardia-uw6jk 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that’s entirely false. they basically have the same stats lol. bell played 17 less games for the steelers compared to willie in pittsburgh. i think willie had 40 more yards and like 12 less touchdowns on the ground and bell beat him in the receiving yards and tds. they both ran 4.3 per run on the steelers

    • @JoshuaLaGuardia-uw6jk

    He was the perfect runner on the outside but they constantly tried to have him run up the middle and he would get arm tackled because he didn’t have that much weight backing him up.

    It really was too bad he was never the same after that broken leg. He could’ve ended up in the HOF.

    • @Biggdoom344
      @Biggdoom344 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He broke his leg in late 2007 leading the league in rushing. Then in 2008 he had a bad mcl sprain. His leg lost stability due to his speed and he lost that ability to quickly change gears and accelerate. But I loved me some FWP.

  • @thedude-jb7wx

    Wlli seems to have 40 yard quickness but losses gas. Quick but Bo Sanders and Dorsett were fast. Quickness is Napolean Kaufman Barry Sander willi parker. Many RBs were faster that Willi. 9ers have trhat guy Fournette has a high gear and Bo had the highest gear of a RB ever. Faster RBS. Dorsett OJ BO FOUNETTE AP AND MORE DUDE FOR KC. Parker had acceleration but he lost gas. I can see where Willi had a fast 40 but not 100 meters judging by football speed. Did this guy run the 100 meters? I dont see it
