    Loved seeing/hearing this after just posting my comment about people of good will living and fighting for the true, good and beautiful vs woking, weakening and worrying etc. Thanks for the info

    You are 100% right. People need to stop reading articles online and actually sit down with a realtor to determine what they can afford. My first house was tiny condo in a sketchy neighborhood, but it was the launchpad to getting into the house I wanted.

      Same! I wish I still had that tiny townhome - it's quadrupled in value since 1994!

    It’s hard to be optimistic when you have a 40-50% down payment and you’re still looking at $1800-2200 monthly payment (insurance, taxes included). So I can either buy something that isn’t what I want for nearly half a million dollars or I can rent and let the bank pay me $1000 per month in interest making my rent totally feasible and allowing me to continue saving and continue waiting for rates/prices to come down.
