An aspiring designer almost loses everything due to a scheme to take her down. She meets the successor of a premier jeweler that paves the way for a sizzling romance. Gao Jie has always dreamed of becoming a jewelry designer, so she packs up her bags to find work at a mining company in South America. She falls in love with Yu Zhi, the successor of Sheng Feng Jewelry. Things do not go smoothly for Gao Jie after returning to China, but in order to pursue her passion, she gets a job at Sheng Feng. Sheng Feng used to be the gold label in the industry. However, fierce competition from Western jewelers has reduced the brand's prominence over the years. To get the company back to its former glory, Yu Zhi breaks tradition by focusing on Western designs. After Gao Jie joins Sheng Feng, she becomes fascinated with the exquisite beauty of traditional Chinese jewelry and becomes set on creating designs that fuse Eastern and Western influences. Alas, their cooperation and budding romance encounter roadblocks due to Yu Zhi's stepmother, Mu Zi Yun. She is also Gao Jie's aunt who has been conspiring to take over the company.

Lol... there's more to it. FL refused to go public so they are secretly dating. 2FL puts on an act, throws herself at any opportunity and also created a PR mess so ML has to pretend he is a couple with 2FL ( who by the way has a big crush on ML lol!). ML is gives enough hints to 2FL that he is not interested. I think after he pushed FL too much in this episode he take 2FL out, to embarass her and also make it clear he 8s not interested in her.
FL refused to go public as didnt sant attention and people thinking she came via neopotism. She also just graduated wants to learn foundations and build herself up.
Worth watching? Same formula, nothing too emotional rollercoaster. Good come down from the emotional rollercoasters like goodbye my princess or ruyi etc

never understood why they always making one hating ass person to be unnecessarily rude over a man 😭😭. don’t get me wrong these dramas addicting but damn it makes you wanna fight that damn girl irl 😂
The one you want to fight, played in 'Love Like the Galaxy' she didn't have big role but she was annoying and rude in that drama as well. When I first saw a clip of this drama and recognized her, I was hoping she would have been a nice character but that hope was quickly dashed onto pieces because just in the clips I have watched of this drama she is worse in this one. I wanted to slap her in the other one and you want to fight her in this one. I hope she plays a good character in other dramas.
He was terrible to her and that girl posing and putting her hands on him sees the girl that looks at them from afar as competition. He and the girl from afar still stayed together. He accused her of something she didn't know about and embarrassed for her in front everyone. They still stayed together at the end.

I generally use these clips of dramas to decide if I am going to watch them. I have seen a couple clips from this drama and even though it appears to be good, it also appears to be a slower pace drama and I more than likely will not sit and watch it because it has 53 episodes.

The ML is very toxic toward the FL. A real jerk. He got her transferred to the Custom Made Dept and now it's going to be closed down. What a great boyfriend, huh?

She is such a wimp. She gets humiliated and scorned, often publicly, throughout the whole drama and what did she do at the end of it? She. choose to end up with. The real queen of doormats.
Personally I would have sat with my elderly coworkers at the table. They would have protected me better and worked on one of the unfinished projects while I sat to keep busy and her away from me or just not gone. I'm not blaming FL just being proactive and limiting confrontation. Even her coworkers saw that fiasco and comforted her. Jees dude, maybe a visit and chat with Si Cheng there would have been better for her, ahem?!
I think the majority of us would rather see her with Si Cheng, or single, rather than putting up with the abusive manchild, Yu Zhi. But no, the writers decided to go with the typical woman denigrating formula to make this a typical drama.
I know it's a sticky situation for both of them but it's amazing to me that at least he could have separated both of them and told Hui to be nice. Everyone could see that she was being a witch. Jie is a certified gemologist, geologist, and know designing production/custom/repairing of jewelry. Jeez folks she's top notch. Hui is just her parents pet project. Si Cheng saw her potential and helped her far more but it is what it is. Until there's an official part 2 i'm watching the actor that plays Si in a drama that he's the ML who gets the girl. In my head that's the unofficial part 2. Yu Zhi needs therapy or at least she needs to get pregnant and go hormonal on his arse and cry, yell, vomit, etc. and he takes it. I would pay to see that part 2.
