The only problem with the dress is the disregard for safety but I believe that every other thing is on point. She called it firefly. Fireflies are only attractive at night or in d dark but plain in the light. She did that perfectly but didn't consider safety

@@elishabun2341 those are not led lights...it's a fabric made out of optical fibres, which are literally just like radium...they glow in the dark...it does not have lights.

Though I didn't like the judge's attitude of holding a grudge against the contestant, I agree with her. The dress has nothing special; if the lights weren't switched on, it would've looked like a normal wedding gown.
In case you forgot, this isn't reality.
I have found out after watching some of dramas that holding a grudge of some kind is part of the story line in about 75% of these dramas, plus treating woman with no respect, like something other than a human. (if that is the way of their culture that I wouldn't like to live in it. Mississppi Gulf Coast, USA)

It takes a lot to design a masterpiece, as an aspiring fashion designer, sometimes we don't need to please everyone to appear intricate because there are also people who likes simplicity. As you can see, if we have the lights, people who are minimalist would love it and once the lights turned off, that's when people who loves cool and intricate designs enter. It's not easy to design, you have to include the message of the piece and let people interpret its significance even if it's literally just a piece of cloth to those who can't.
I do understand the judges score and honestly agree. Though I feel like they went about it the wrong way, at the end of the day she's a rising artist. I felt like they should give her honest feedback while also encouraging her to continue trying. If you just flat out discipline and ridicule then it could cause someone to give up on their dreams. I'm not saying baby her because she needs to learn the truth of her design and what she did wrong but they just kept digging at her. That's the way I saw it but I haven't seen the full show so I need more context

I think aside from the safety part they were just being bitches. They clearly tried to find any excuse to make her score as low as possible. Like the dude said NO ONE has ever had such a low score EVER.
Well they are judges... They are there to give criticism to make sure everything is within the creative unit while also safe in design. And also with the quitting thing is up to the persons will afterall if they will strive harder to get positive outcome or just give up without trying to get better. Everyone goes through the same rejection afterall and it is up to the person whether they decided to close the door that opened in their face or embrace what's inside that door which has opened up to you.
I feel like that is more on the Chinese culture than anything. Usually in CN There is this saying how the harsher a criticism the better it is for you, and it shows sometimes. This is one of the places.

what the judges said are valid and it annoys me to how she didnt consider safety but when it was on fire, should they not have thought ab HER SAFETY at the time rather than just blaming her and calling her out on her faults?
When the judges yelled at her, the fire was already out. They called her crazy, which she kind of is.
I'm gunna be honest and say, I haven't watched this Cdrama yet but from the clip, I hate how in this scene they're mostly trying to paint the MC as a pitiful damsel in distress who's perfect and deserves to win and can not without the help of her MLs. Her design itself was overall rather simple and ngl could be replicated easily so I understand her score. Not only that, she literally ignored safety in an attempt to get ahead, glow in the dark fabric does exist and can be procured quite easily at around $50-$75 a metre which honestly isn't too bad for actual designers (but for students it's a bit pricy, haha or maybe I'm just broke) but I haven't watched the show so idk what her financial situation is.
The feedback given is relevant and makes sense. And even if the judges had any grudges against her, the feedback is still valid. In this scene in general, the MC just doesn't seem that likeable to me and honestly seems a bit ignorant and annoying.

In truth, while the judges were mean spirited and completely biased against her, I do think they are right. Taking their feedback, I would redesign my dress so that it is versatile - look amazing without lights AND with lights. It is rather boring in daylight. Plus, the issue about safety. Although, to be fair, she could find the right fiber she needed so she resorted to adding a string of LED lights.

The judges werent rude- she litterly did some dumb idea (pretty dress but about the materials used) this is something a kid/newbie would do without knowing anything about designing! Honestly such a beautiful idea it'd be better if she used some mirror materials which would make the dress glow during daylight(light reflection)and would make it look shiny at night but judges were honest

就這個片段來說這個分數的確還蠻符合這個作品的，因為直接加燈光以設計風格來說真的不能稱之為設計，以服飾來說第一先是設計理論的基礎，二來則是剪裁技術，“有想法”是奠基在兩者之下的
在學期間會犯這樣的錯誤是正常，但如果是比賽犯這樣的錯誤是愚蠢，想顯現特別不是靠發光就能解決的，而是要去思考-燈光的含義是什麼，是想傳達科技還是動力？這些關於光的思維對於我而言並不符合服飾設計的需求，也沒有考慮材質與材質之間的關係，這樣的設計如果還能入圍的話肯定是言情劇，因為這樣的錯誤不管怎樣維護都很扯還很掉審美

the leds would not catch fire of that material at all. That was about as hokie of a scene I ever seen. Those leds are used in mood lighting you can put them in a jar with anything even chiffon and not start a fire for hours.
Considering I've made a dress like this four times. The battery pack is always prepared in advance and protected. The probability of fire Is next to nothing. Honestly. It's safer to put led in this dress than it is to screw in a light bulb. I'm working on another smaller version of the same concept for a friend's party. Safer.
Also that light up fabric is not worth the price tag.

uhh very accurate actually cause stylists do not care about the models and just create dresses which can slip any moment without thinking anything about the models safety etc..

給追求低調的人而已，是個好選擇，
只是忽略了安全性問題，
不然這件衣服值得高分，因為理念不錯，成品展示也不錯，
直接把一件變成兩件在穿，
如果不是使用發光二極體，而是用其他具安全性的材質，可能還是有機會爭取一下分數
设计师应该要驾驭这衣服的特性，让人们看到不可思义的一面。不能单单因为好看而忽视了其他细节。

Con la parte del vestido me gusto demaciado que hasta podría servir en noche de gala, pero si se arma un caos con una de sus linternas puestas en el vestido entonces alguien podría terminar herido por falta de ese desgaste. Lo mejor será arreglar los ajustes antes de que pueda provocar un incendio.

我覺得6分沒什麼問題啊，像那種華麗的衣服，除了在婚禮或宴會還能在哪穿，這種的關燈頂多就一會，你總不能叫大家摸黑吧，開燈之後就沒什麼亮點了，這種需要特定條件才能穿的衣服本來就沒什麼賣點，畢竟這種衣服不可能常穿，一定要花大錢訂製，只有有錢人穿的起，而且這種的只有第一次有驚艷感，不會穿第二次，你看哪個明星參加宴會穿以前穿過的，要花大錢只穿一次並不是很值得，再來，這種設計比賽都會問設計理念，這種回憶以前愛情的確實很難勾起共鳴感，就如評審所說，你要回憶自己回憶，別人也可以不買單，在我看來評審提出的點都沒什麼問題，缺陷、設計理念及材質問題，都是基本的問題，就因為評審之前跟設計師有過節就覺得評審為難人，倒是拿出為難的點啊，她講的確實都是事實，這件衣服有很大的缺陷，衣服總不能只有好看吧！衣服的舒適度等也得考量進去，只是一味的追求美觀並不能成為一個好的服裝設計師，不然你們以為只要會畫漂亮的衣服就好了嗎！你想得美勒！！！而且這種會自燃的衣服有賣點嗎？？？雖然有些人為了美確實不要命，但作為一個服裝設計師卻做出這種完全不顧慮購買者的安全問題，這已經喪失了職業素養了，管你衣服再好看，你都不配成為一個服裝設計師，請不要侮辱這個職業好嗎🙄

Honestly, the judge is right. I don't care who the FL or rival or whatever is. That dress for me is 0 point. Well, except for the fact that it might be for a specific occasion cause it's only special at night, I still think that doesn't make sense, why make a dress that can only be accessible when it's dark? and the worst part is, it's freaking dangerous to wear that. Water can't touch it and it can catch fire.

I don't think it was fibre optics... secondary LED lights were most likely used given it caught fire so easily. Perhaps in reality, it could have been fibre optics since I'm not quite sure LED lights can produce the same effect.

Don't mix up silk with tulle brocade and LED lights should not all of a sudden short circuit and cause a fire (at least not with the type of LEDs those were, which could run off batteries).
She used the wrong kind of lights. Go for fiber optic and she would have been fine. Though those are expensive and i have not seen the drama so i do not know if she can afford it, but if she couldn't she could have tried with a design thats more nature inspired to look like the valley shes trying to portray and use materials that reflects shines for it instead of just a simple wedding looking gown (unless she is suppose to make it look wedding ish)

Um.. this title isn’t accurate it looks like the girl a bad result from the dress. Excluding the fact it caught on fire. The dress really isn’t that great and the judges comments are accurate.
Yes, finally someone said it. The title is misleading. What the judges say is straight to the point, the girl's dress is beautiful, but she have not considered safety before putting secondary LED strips on her dress. She would have catch on fire; she is lucky there is someone to save her, or it could have been worse. This situation could have been avoided in the first place.
