For a whole month I kept remembering how Shenron kept punching an invisible wall SSJ4 Gogeta was using (that or Shenron just couldn’t do any damage at that point) and I don’t know why I kept remembering it so vividly. After seeing you post this I now know why. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy our childhood we no longer can.
In Budokai 3, Ki also correlated with the fusion time limit, so it wouldn't be too out of the way to say that using a cheat to have infinite ki also gives you infinite fusion time.

Imagine seeing gogeta troll omega shenron for 4 minutes straight in the anime instead of a few seconds. With all that speed and power he could literally beat omega until he loses all the dragon balls and then let him absorb them again and then beat him until he loses the dragon balls again and when he gets bored he finally finished him off. That would’ve been so much fun to watch in the anime

Saiyans are known for getting cocky once they’ve become stronger than their opponent, the way that gogeta acted was honestly pretty appropriate because he knew he was stronger than omega by a lot before he even threw his first punch. And to be fair gogeta could’ve killed omega but two things would’ve happened: the negative energy would’ve still been in the earths atmosphere even after omegas death and there would be no more dragon balls to fix it. So gogeta had to troll omega into releasing his most powerful attack so that he could release the negative energy from the earths atmosphere by countering it.
Both Vegito and SSJ4 Gogeta basically have the same purpose before defeating their enemy Vegito saving his friends and Gogeta to free the Earth from the negative energies As for Gogeta, he already explained it after he kicked Omega Shenron's Karma Ball and immediately kills Omega and unfortunately, he do survive Now let me ask : How they ruined SSJ4 Gogeta? The fusion lasts 30 minutes. SSJ4 fusion lasts maybe 10 minutes. SSJ4 Gogeta did this in 4 minutes. I’d say he had more than enough time to do this in the anime and spam bluffs while he was at it.
Him, Majuub, and many others could’ve been much greater character than they were. So much potential was wasted in GT as well as Super... That being said I still do like GT for bringing ssj4, the shadow dragons (the concept mostly, as well as Eis, Nova, and Omega) and to an extent, Baby as a villain. Not to mention Gogeta is my favorite character. At least the Broly movie gave him a bit of justice.

Aura Burning raises your attack and defense but it lacks the fatigue vulnerability when it ends so you can just spam it in infinite world (no risk all reward). Also you don't even need hyper mode/aura burning to do an Ultimate attack in Infinite World, once again letting you spam your most powerful move, removing the need for skill. Also no tournament mode and the story mode in the game lacks the open world flying around the map with your character. So no, it's not "just wrong". Id say its very arguable, since i literally just argued my point.
If gogeta didn't do that then even if they killed him they all would have still died. Gogeta humiliated him to get him to release all his negative energy so he could convert it to positive and spread it throughout the universe.
