Just wanted to let you know that I'm resigning from my job soon, so this will be my last load before heading home. It wasn't working out for me to stay longer at the company, as I'll be switching to a local job after my time in the Philippines. Thanks for all your support, it means a lot. @@JakeclydeDtrucker I'm a career Military man and whenever someone spoke English with an accent, my troops would laugh at them thinking the person was dumb. I shut that down quickly when I made them realize that when a person speaks with an accent, that means they can speak more than one language. That means that person is pretty smart! Speak whatever language you want in your videos! The haters hate on you because you are speaking English instead of Tagalog, should realize that you are speaking English because you have followers that are from other nationalities that don't understand Tagalog, so you have to speak English. I do agree with you not hanging out with Filipinos. The women especially I can tell are jealous of me, since I speak mainly English, than the language. I notice they are two faced but I know when they are true. I stay clear of their gossiping, and cliches. I am me if they can't stand that it's no lose to me. I just ignore them. i was an OTR driver for 4 yrs then i switched to local gig. i worked in local for 2 yrs then i decided to be a yard spotter. now im in my 2nd yrs as a spotter. its pretty much making the same money as OTR and Local. so you gonna like it.. home daily , weekly check , less stress.

Get into Freight Forwarding which is another part of logistics. Being a trucker is very tough. Be an Import coordinator and work at an office. What you'll do is coordinate shipment from overseas and dispatch them once they arrive into the US. Try global forwarding, you have the experience.

You only have to pay taxes in pi if you physically work there. I got my 🇺🇸🇵🇭 in 2009 even being born in the us. Your trip home will work wonders and you will be recharged when you return stateside.get an updated pi birth certificate.on your trip, from municipality where u were born. You should have looked into a place with guaranteed minimum pay, if you wanted a consistent paycheck! I started my career at $1450 weekly guaranteed after training.

Maybe you should have waited until you returned before quitting? If you can’t make it on long haul , and you aren’t paying rent, how are you going to make it on less money, with added expenses? Free rent from living in your truck, is a huge money saver. Hopefully, once you get some rest and see your mom, your thinking will become clearer. I think you are burned out. Good luck bai I did OTR in late 90’s Alaska only now local na lang ko, find a union local driving job they pay well with benefits plus retirement actually I get paid more than OTR now because of OT and we get incentives for working weekends specially Sunday gets double pay

I dont know anything about trucking, but I would have the impression that OTR trucking (long distance) would ideally pay more than a local job? I figured trucker pay is basically the bigger the load/longer the distance equals more pay. How local is local? Trucking within several cities? Just curious. New sub here. I'm your typical Filipino nurse/nurse practitioner. Hats off to you going out of the typical norm in our culture! Haha. Keep it up!

Bro even in this "bad market" there are enough opportunities to make good money. Honestly, it is not time to be "loyal to one company". We, truck drivers, should be flexible and try different companies with different structure during these times. Better to be OO and only then you will make good money. Personally, I have got lots of truck driver friends who work for different companies. I get in touch with them quite often. Interestingly, they are all making good money. So it is not the market the market that is bad, it is companies who are being unable to adapt and run efficiently.

I feel sorry for you that your brother couldn't accommodate you. I've wats thought your culture was tight-knit accommodating family into their home regardless of space and they always made space for their blood. There were times I would drive by some small homes not far where I live and see 4 cars in the driveway with 6-10 adults/living happily together. This is the 2nd time you asked your brother for accommodation and he had an excuse and stated "no". May God send his guardian angels over you to protect you. 🙏

Why would you have to speak only Tagalog? That makes no sense to me either. One, it’s your channel and secondly, you are Filipino American. You are bilingual and you have the best of both countries. And for you to have a successful YT channel globally, English must be spoken. I am Filipina born and raised here in Chicago. My mom is a retired nurse who came here in the 60’s. She never learned Tagalog. She is from Zamboanga so she speaks Chavocano. I speak only English. I am also retired now. Your channel is not catering to only Filipinos. If you spoke only Tagalog, your channel would grow real slow and may not be successful or profitable for you.
