Thank you for your reaction to this tribute. Dimash works hard and continues to study, and chooses, as we see, the best teachers for himself. Thank you for your genuine reaction. I could see and feel your sadness for the loss of an incredible talent and greatness in MJ and it seems Dimash really touched your heart by this performance and tribute. That’s what Dimash does. He touches the soul.
This tribute shows his respect for MJ’s talent . I don’t think you were in any way comparing and that is something Dimash never wants as he respects all artists knowing each has their own unique style and talent.
This was a tribute and I think it was truly heartfelt and incredible by Dimash.

Dimash has greatly admired Michael Jackson for many years and several of the songs he has composed , or his "moves" onstage reflext that. Have you seen the amazing story of Dimash and the MJ poster? Anyway, whatever song he may sing as a tribute to MJ is just that--a tribute done with care and admiration. Dimash competes only with himself. I hope you will get to know him!
With Dimash's extensive vocal range, his versatility of being able to sing anything from opera to rap. His music education and ability to compose, perform and act it's obvious that his skills far surpass anything that MJ was capable of.
You've actually seen far too little of Dimash, especially in concert, to be able to compare them as artists.
If you're comparing solely by songs then that's an unfair comparison as you're comparing MJ at the top of his game to a Dimash that was just starting out, barely knew any English and didn't dance. He hasn't performed any Michael Jackson songs since his very first concert so no further comparisons can be drawn. His English and his dance skills have improved massively in the last 5 years.
To see what Dimash is truly capable of you would have to watch the Almaty concert to judge him live but also watch his Music video of The Story of One Sky to judge him vocally, as a composer, actor and screenwriter.

Dimash sings M:J's songs in his edit ...paying tribute to M.J's work ..... Dimash has much more vocals than M.J. and he also doesn't need to literally imitate other singers, he himself is a musical genius and a phenomenon ... it can be seen that you didn't bother to get to know Dimash and his style, but you only judge whether he sang the song the same as M:J: ...... not Dimash is Dimash personality and unique and M.J. is M.J
The second song is MJ's "Earth Song."
You need to listen to a lot more Dimash, and Dimash and Michael shouldn't really ever even be compared. It's two completely different experiences, but for myself, as singular and iconic a phenomenon as Michael Jackson was, in terms of vocal ability and sheer musical acumen, he couldn't tie Dimash's shoelaces. 😊
Hiiiiii again from Las Vegas 😊 so I'll give you my 2 cents lol..I've always LOVED and have been a HUGE Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5 fan, in fact, The Jackson 5 was the very first concert I ever went to, it was in 1974 in Sacramento, CA ❤ in 2008, I meet Randy Jackson and Joe Jackson at the Restaurant that my ex-huband and I owned here in Las Vegas (yes I have pictures to prove it lol) anyway, with all that being said, I think you already know that I absolutely LOVE and ADORE Dimash and he IS the GREATEST SINGER that there ever has been, so nobody else, past or present has the vocal abilities that he does, but can I say that in this ONE particular performance that Dimash sang Billy Jean better than MJ, welllll no I don't feel he did, however, with Earth Song, Dimash blew MJ OUTTA THE WATER!!!! 💯 btw, this is just my own personal opinions 😁
