This is the most in depth mystic video I have seen and extremely helpful. You have a couple of options for gloves that can boost your damage and give bonuses, the Helldusk Gloves give an extra 1d6 fire damage, a fire spell, and +1 to your spell saves and DCs which should apply to your psionic spells too, and the Legacy of the Masters gloves in act 3 give you +2 to ranged attacks and damage if you are goin more purely ranged. Killers Sweetheart is a great alternative ring and the strange conduit gives you an extra 1d4 psychic damage when concentrating on a spell. Great video.
Glad you liked the video!! I found out after I made this build that one of the psionic disciplines called Transcendent Form has a buff which allows you to boost a single stat for any character to 19. So you could easily apply that to your Dex stat and switch to the legacy of the masters or the helldusk gloves. 1d6 fire damage per hit sounds great especially with so many additional attacks per round. That would mean if you upcast the psychic barrage you would do an additional 8-24 damage from a single barrage, assuming 8 shots from a full upcast. Two barrages per turn, and even more with haste makes for like 32-96 damage per turn just from the gloves. You’d be burning a lot of psi points in one turn but I didn’t call this the psionic machine gun build for nothing! SHEEEESH 😮💨
The damage would also be even more insane if you decided to roll with elixirs of cloud giant strength to further boost the titanstring bow but Im tired of farming strength elixirs and felt like that was a little overkill 😬
There is also a bow that is made specifically for the mystic class that is really good as well don't even need titian string bow mystic is probably the best class to solo the game with

Someone else said it but the first one gives you a dex buff and the second gives you haste which to me is too good to pass up. I also replaced celerity with nomadic step, I like the teleportation that comes with it personally. What y'all think?? 🧐
I only just recently learned about the transcendent form and it just fully makes the gloves of dexterity unnecessary :) frees you up to put another pair of gloves in there, maybe helldusk gloves for hella fire damage? Mastery of time is a great one! Haste is always a welcome ability. Same with nomadic step, I feature that one in both of my other mystic builds. I forget what it's called but the high level "journey" ability you get is so OP

Oh I can definitely do that! The crown and mantle psionic disciplines are perfect for this, especially coupled with some defensive abilities! I actually have one in reserve I call my "EMOTIONAL DAMAGE" build hahaha
Have you tried Unbound with animate weapon? Its super fun. Turns your melee into a ranged attack, and can proc smite on crit. By level 12 on honour mode I was doing 32-64 damage per animate weapon not including the smite crit.
I haven’t yet, I’ll have to give that a shot! The other subclass I was toying with is the soul knife using one of psionic disciplines that increases your melee range by 4.5 meters. Coupled with the resonance stone it does nasty damage on a dual wielder
Great, how about stack weapon damage procs. Caustic Band(2) + Strange Conduit Ring(1d4) + Broodmother's Revenge(1d6)+ Gloves of Archery(+2) all from act1. More upgrades come early act2 like the Helldusk Gloves(1d4) and Drakethroat Glaive(1d4).
These would be awesome to take the damage even higher. I didn’t include gear like that in this build just because the damage output is already insane, but especially with so many hits per turn that extra damage would pile up fast! You might be able to trade out one of the rings for the ring of regeneration to guarantee that poison damage from broodmothers revenge, and add in a mystic concentration buff from one of the disciplines for the conduit ring. Augmented weapon could help massively boost both attack and damage rolls if it applies to ranged weapons. I don’t remember off the top of my head 😅😅
Yeah this build doesn’t make use of it to its fullest extent unfortunately, just since the mystic archer doesn’t need that many buffs. I have another build in the works which uses a ton of concurrent buffs
Sadly they changed Nomadic Arrow. Now it just cancels out disadvantage by giving you a toggle that gives both advantage and disadvantage. The damage is still good but the hit to accuracy that losing constant advantage gave is really sad. You now either need to wait till you can get another source of advantage or accept that you will miss a lot more of you shots.
Thats what I had heard, the only solution I can think of is the risky ring, which is obviously a high value item. Might still be worth putting on a character like this because of the number of attack rolls. Edit: might be for the best anyway since that ability basically made the mystic archer into a hand crossbow swords bard on crack 😂
Each time you level your main and other characters it refreshes the vendor in the Grove so you can buy the Amulet of Psychic Restoration. So following your build, at level 6 I have 37 Amulets giving me 143 Psi points to refresh my points 4 times before long rest. I'm guessing you could keep respecing and leveling at the vendor to get a bunch of Amulets so you wouldn't have to long rest for a long time, hell, a party of Mystics wouldn't have to long rest at all.
The resonance stone? I decided not to include it in this build mostly because the damage is mostly piercing. I have a soul knife build in the works that uses the resonance stone to double the damage from the soul knives
I actually forgot while I was selecting stats that I even had the gloves of dexterity on, and that after you get them you could even dump your Dex stat in a respec. Thanks for watching!

I am cheating a bit with mods by having bhaalist armor early but the main interaction I’ve been abusing is the psionic ring that gives 1 psi power when you inflict status + the mystic bow Failnaught that inflicts mental fatigue. Just those two items alone make the psionic barrage max rank spam completely self-sustainable, literally nova 1shotting every encounter without needing to rest. Rest of the gear you can lean into crit fishing or do a bit of a luminous orb stacking. Could even multi class since the psi points regenerate more than you can spend so I’m but sure how low you could go with mystic and not miss key class abilities. Titanstring is a bit better damage per shot but the infinite psychic spec is totally hands off I have been preferring the failnaught bow. Astarion is using titanstring for backup lol. Finally, add in bhaalist armor, psionic resonance stone, and a bunch of mystic teleportation/movement and it gets disgusting.
@ yeah the multipliers + infinite recharge get super nutty for base tactician difficulty. Might actually try this build for solo honor next. My last honor mode (before introducing mods) ended at owlbear surprise lmao but this feels strong enough to work easily. in an ideal round I have gale black hole and then I tele/run into range and barrage or multi target arrow for 60-100 damage per hit, and then you get extra attack and action surge. it’s really really really strong with bhaalist armor and resonance stone.
Glad to help! The mystic class is really really cool and so versatile, it’s just almost too versatile haha. You can use your INT stat to do basically any type of play style with it but you have to build it yourself with a million new abilities at your fingertips. It’s overwhelming 😅
@BeefSister69 yeah im not particularly good at building classes normally but mystic feels like it has as many builds as the rest put together and on console it's a pain reading what everything does
@@Copthulhu I think they did, yeah. The psychic focus in the unearthed arcana mystic says “ignore advantage and disadvantage” so the BG3 version is now more in line with the official one, tehnically. Only solution I can think of off the top of my head is the risky ring but that’s only in act 2 and possibly steals it from another party member

Oh damn! I just checked my save file and it looks like mine changed too… looks like we got nerfed! 😅 The creator must have changed that in a recent update. You could use the risky ring to get that advantage back, at the cost of one of your ring slots obviously.
There's one headpiece at the dancing axe that should give you 2 free psi points per turn, called the fount of endless knowledge. You could go with the hood of the weave otherwise, that's definitely a great option. Or the mask of soul perception for extra hit and damage
You could probably do this archer style build and incorporate some of the stealthy disciplines into it! There’s at least one which gives you a bunch of invisibility and hiding abilities that you could use. Nomadic step discipline would help with the teleportation side of the shadow monk style, but far as I know that’s about as stealthy as the mystic class can get without getting it from other classes

Without mods your best bet for an archer build is definitely 6 gloomstalker ranger, 3 assassin rogue, and 3 champion fighter. Gloomstalker is going to give you extra attacks in the first round, assassin is going to give you auto-crits on any of those shots that happen before an enemy takes their first turn, and fighter will give you action surge and higher crit chance. You can use the same weapon set up as this build with the titanstring bow and the club of hill giant strength/strength potions
You could do any of the races tbh, they’re all about as powerful as any other. Wood elf is the standard I think most people use for archery builds. Duergar is a good one because you get a free invisibility racial that is excellent for triggering surprise rounds on enemies if you use it right
go transcendence and give yourself 19 dex with 5 psi points and free up the hands slot for something better. interesting discipline choices, but a pretty decent build.
