Thank you so much! I sorta specialize in family games (hence the board game dad) but I personally enjoy heavier Euro games (like this one, although this one is medium-weight) and I cover those too.
Great commentary, thank you!! I own this game, have played it, and would rank it basically the same as you have done. It feels like it is in the same wheelhouse as Whistle Mountain. House rule for the market: set the tile market similar to dominion in stacks of matching types and remove the luck altogether.🤔
I absolutely love the house rule. Why not? The only thing it doesn't resolve is the troll cards. I think each troll card is unique. BUt it is generally a big improvement.
Really glad to hear that this is interactive. I LOVE the theme but I'm a Tigris and Eupretes/Mexica kinda gamer so I was very worried when I found out it was a workerplacement/euro. Modern euros seem devoid of meaningful interaction. I'll pick this up!
It didn't. 👍 It felt natural. It's a good evolution of your previous version. I like the 5 main categories and how each you rate on a scale between two binary extremes. I think it's useful, and intuitive way of looking at those categories, easy to understand and nice quick visual "graph". For me anyway. Good job on that!👏 You are also having good talking points around those main guidelines with which you structured the review. Just keep up the great work!🥳 And thanks again for providing us great content. 🙂
With two players, it’s more of a head to head competition. You can see what your opponent wants to do and deliberately plan an action that is helpful to you and DOESN’T set them up. But the aggression in this game is pretty mild. In my personal opinion, I generally don’t play 4 player games if I only have one opponent. Yet while it isn’t my preference, I did play this 2-player (for the review) and I had no reservations about it. The designer did a great job making the game scale for any player count.
Wow just found this channel. Finally someone that covers games with substantial feedback! Subbed

Absolutely. So the new structure/rating system didn't throw you off?

What is your opinion for a 2 players party most of the time? Play with my wife a lot 😅
